Now a No reserve auction, Started this listing with a buy it now at $4300,nada has this worth between $14,000-$24,000.Up for auction is this rare euro wdb107 Mercedes Benz SL280 convertible. A true imported car with a sought after German dual overhead cam 6 cylinder. Motor runs excellent. The transmission shifts fine. Excellent tires and brakes. No cuts in seats at all. The dash is near-mint. Front windshield just cracked yesterday,driveable the way it is but needs replaced.For a extra $175.can have it replaced before pick up,also Having a problem with wiring on this car. The only way it starts right now is by running a hotwire from battery to coil wire, then it fires right up. Was told it is probably the ICU unit which is on the side fender wall next to coil. I have seen them sell on ebay for anywhere from $50-$200. I've also been told the Pertronix company has a complete bypass system for $75. I'm not going to mess with it. The body is in great shape but the car is not perfect as it is 30 years old. The rag top is just that. It is torn and needs replaced. The hard top is in good shape. If you fix the wiring problem, you will have a fantastic car. But due to the wiring system, car is sold as is as a 30 year old classic. If car needs to be shipped, buyer to pay shipping expenses. I can hook up a temporary toggle switch for easy shipping. There is a $500 deposit due at end of auction and balance is due within 3 days after end of auction. Again, car sold "as is".
