For those of you who have never heard of the 325ix let me fill you in. As some consider it the best all wheel drive system to date, this model from BMW was only produced from 1987 to 1991. With dwindling numbers, it is nearly impossible to come across such a car in good condition. The all wheel drive system utilizes three differentials to distribute the power with a 37:63 split front to rear. The infamous BMW e30 chassis has drawn a cult following, especially with it's classic boxy look and clean lines. The six cylinder engine also known as the 2.5 liter M20 runs with a powerful 168 horsepower producing 164 ft-lbs of torque. For a 20 year old car it moves. Only a select few are lucky enough to experience the 325ix and unfortunately, I have to part with mine. Engine: This BMW has been fully maintained and a babied daily driver for the past two years. I originally purchased the car from a mechanic at Markel BMW here in Omaha, Nebraska so you know it was well taken care of. All the service was then done by BMW specialists here in Omaha with most done at the Sports Car Garage and some other work done at the European Motors Company (Feel free to contact me if you want to speak with the mechanics). The car was recently taken in for it's 90,000 mile service along with that were recent repairs of a new power steering rack, new thermostat, timing belt, and its usual oil change every 3,000 miles. This car is equipped with an an automatic transmission and shifts smoothly as if it were new. Body: Overall the body is in good shape. The original diamond black metallic paint shines though does have a few blemishes, which I have shown in the pictures below. Along with that are a few rust spots (nothing major) which you could expect from a car this age. Lastly, there is a dime size dent near the right rear taillight which I have also listed images of and the antenna does not work. It wouldn't take much to bring the body back to showroom condition. The car has had tint professionally applied to the windows and does not show any bubbles or signs of wear. I also recently installed two brand new BMW emblems purchased from www.BavAuto.com. The car does come with the Yakima Roof Rack, including one new bike tray and the ski rack shown in the pictures. The fairing is included, but will be stripped of the decals unless the buyer tells me otherwise. Interior: The interior is nearly immaculate. The drivers seat does show minor signs of wear, but all the leather has been shampooed frequently since ownership. The dash shows no signs of any cracks or wear, nor does the center console. The back seat seats are in near mint condition with only a few minor scratches in the leather. This car does come with the IX signature ski bag equipped in the rear middle seat. The carpet is in condition with only a few minor blemishes all of which I have shown in the images. Unfortunately, when I got the car it didn't come with the original floor mats. It does come with two rubber floor mats purchased from www.BavAuto.com (I only bought two because no one ever rode in the back seat). The car does have it's original tape deck BMW Business Radio by Blackpunct. I've included an additional replica radio because the sound knob is a little touchy (I guess I grew used to it). The air conditioning blows ice cold and the heat works without any unease. The car also comes with the original lighter, rare power windows and a very rare cruise control which all function like new. The trunk has the original BMW tool kit and comes with a full size spare. The only thing the interior could use is a new clock and temperature computer as the original sometimes acts up. Overall: It has come time for me to get into a bigger car even though it kills me to leave this pride and joy behind. This BMW 325ix has been a dream, and will forever turn heads with right care. Like I said this car is only becoming a rarer commodity and to find one in solid mechanical condition with low miles, well good luck finding one. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
