Hi i'm selling my 2001 Ford Escape 4dr suv, 4x4, auto trans. it starts, runs and drives fine up to about 45 mph, then can't go any faster. Needs exhaust or engine work, perfect for a mechanic. tan interior is nice no rips or tears. all buttons and switches, windows, etc work fine. I think the problem is that the exhaust is clogged in the exhaust manifold, but i am not certain. i have checked it with the computer scanner and it says nothing is wrong(!). exhaust is loud, it definitely needs at a minimum the exhaust flex y-pipe that is right after the exhaust manifolds, $110 on ebay w/shipping. best for a mechanic to fix up, come check it out in zip code 22624 10 minutes north of winchester, va on rt.81. call 540-303-2686 with any questions. pa 1 owner title shows 10 miles. minor rust in rear wheel wells see pics, not bad but noticeable. i think a good mechanic can fix this for $300 or less and you can be riding cheap. tires are ok, there is a small 3" crack in the windshield at the very bottom under the wipers. only dent (minor, doesn't need to be fixed) is as pictured up high on right hand front door. if you have a specific pictures you want or questions answered please email.On Jul-15-10 at 08:09:41 PDT, seller added the following information: small update, i haven't been able to get my phone calls since monday (out of the country), but i'm back friday night at midnight, so if you called me and i missed it either recall after saturday 9am or email me instead.
