Vehicle Detail
This 1981 VW caddy pick up truck has a diesel engine and 5 speed transmission & was purchased in San Jose, Ca. by the original owner in march of 1981, who then moved to Las Vegas, Nv. where it spent the rest of its life so the truck is rust free throughout. I am the second owner of this extremely fine example of this truck and I love it, it is fun to drive, gets a lot of attention and gets about 50 miles to the gallon. I intended on keeping the truck for a long time so I put a new original color paint job, new interior, new brakes, new tires, etc. however things have changed and I must sell. The truck only has 66,265 original miles and was driven by an elderly gengleman that treated it as is baby. Everything on the truck works perfect, clock and all. There are no oil leaks at all, however there is a very small fuel leak from the gasket on top of the fuel pump that I have not had the time to replace, & it will leak about 2 or 3 drops a day. Should you have any questions please feel free to call me @ 702-596-6646. Good luck.On Jul-23-10 at 07:27:26 PDT, seller added the following information: The truck also has all new motor mounts and a new timing belt. I also have the center tow section for the rear bumper,Thank you, and good luckOn Jul-23-10 at 11:15:54 PDT, seller added the following information: the car report says 3 owners, the only reason for this is when the original owner passed away leaving the truck to his son in law he had it put in his name but the truck was put in storage for 4 years and never driven thus 3 owners. I also forgot the truck has a new starter motor and battery also. Thank you, and good luck.
