This is almost the proverbial barn find. The Porsche was purchased in Europe in 1978. It was modified to American standards when brought here in 1984. The DOT requirements for US registration required many changes including the speedometer/odometer which was changed from killometers to miles. The original odometer had 52000 killometers or approximately 31000 miles. The new odometer had 0 miles and has since been driven 33000 miles. Since the exact number is not available this is a very accurate total of about 65000 miles. The title has to read mileage not actual because it only shows the American driven amout. The vehicle was sold to the owners sister in May 2008. She and her husband both own businesses and simply do not have time to enjoy this fine automobile. The car is "VERY" original and is in amazing condition. It has never been repainted. The interior seats, carpet, etc all all original. The one exception being the drivers seat bottom. It had a small crack in the leather was replaced. I did not see any corrosion on the car. This car has always been maintained by a Porsche only mechanic. It has had all of the engine updates including the oil line changes. All service records have been maintained and will go with the car. This car is not a 10, It is after all a 34 year old vehicle. It is however in truely remarkable condition and will command appreciation wherever the winding road takes you.
