Mechanically, this vintage Beetle convertible needs absolutely nothing at all – it will take you wherever you’d like to go. It is propelled by its correct 1500cc single port engine, newly tuned, timed, with fresh oil and valves fully adjusted. It is mated to its stock 4 speed manual transmission which shifts smoothly and flawlessly. The engine and transmission perform without hesitation. Both sound exactly as they ought to – and you can cruise the freeway all day at 65 to 75MPH. The steering and alignment are excellent. It goes down the road good and straight. Tire tread is 75% - it rides on Goodyear 205 60/R15 metric radials. Electrical system is in excellent working order. All exterior lighting including headlamps, turn signals and tag lights function properly. Horn, wipers, dash gauges, indicators and dash lights are all operational. Interior-wise, the interior panels are original-style reproductions and are completed with chrome door pull levers and pull cover plates, and chrome window cranks. The Japanese import front seats are extremely comfortable. Nice new chrome EMPI sill plates adorn the door jambs. Exterior-wise, you will find this cute vintage convertible will attract plenty of attention with its Robin’s Egg Blue paint. The Convertible top is brand new, with new bows, with a vinyl headliner underneath. The rear window was installed in the new top with a new rubber seal. Even though there are a few paint flaws and some spider legs that have developed in the finish due to the age of the repaint, they do not detract from the overall beauty and excitement that you’ll find when you hop in, start the engine, and cruise down the boulevard.
