The Kelly Blue Book retail price for this car is $14,130 and this car is as perfect as any dealer could make it. . AS I mention below, this was a VW showpiece. On the TDIClub forum, a member said that compared to the 2005.5 Jetta, all others are like an empty tin can. Another member called it an Audi with a VW badge. A knowledgeable VW Jetta owner pointed out that I should mention that this is a "package 2" car which is a very rare find. Immaculate 2005.5 VW Jetta This is a so called "New Jetta" (MK V) and is the second model of the jetta to be unveiled in 2005. It was a VW show piece car with features never to be seen again in the Jetta. Features never to be seen again: Leather Seats Eight way power seats for driver and passenger Memory seat for driver with 3 memorized positions Dual Temperature control A/C system Homelink remote system Rain Sensor (works extraordinary well) Rear Shelf sun shade Raise and lower windows with remote control Close sunroof with remote control Wood look trim and shifter Leather wrapped steering wheel A/C diffuser on dash (gone in 2011) Full size spare tire XM Radio (Newer Jettas have Sirius with XM no longer an option) Features of the Jetta MK V (In no particular order): Dual front, side and curtain airbags Setup menu on MFD (Multifunction Display) for individualizing common functions Customize additional functions with VagCom software and available cable Ability to add new, much heralded navigation system (RNS-510) Alloy wheels with anti theft lug nut Tiptronic six speed transmission (ability to manually select gears) Turn signals in outside mirrors Ability to adjust outside mirrors together Puddle lights Interior foot light, reading lights Sunglass storage Premium sound with XM tuner and recognizes MP3 on CD's Rear seats fold down Rear seat center arm rest Two cup holders in front and two in rear Beverage storage and miscellaneous storage in doors Largest trunk in its class (16+ cubic feet) with tie downs and grocery bag hooks Trunk can hold golf bags crosswise 12 Volt convenience outlet in trunk Two 12 Volt convenience outlets in cabin Air conditioning outlets in center storage and glove compartment (Not sure why) Air filter in cabin Tilt and telescoping steering wheel Valet key system and valet key (This is a very rare feature for newer cars) Lighted Vanity mirrors on Visors Adjustable center armrest (I have not seen this kind of armrest in any other care) Rear View Mirror automatically adjust for night driving Reason for sale: This car is the finest and most reliable car I have ever owned. However, we have two 2005.5 Jettas and despite having room for my 6'3" 270lb frame, my wife wanted a larger vehicle to transport our four grandchildren so we have purchased a Toyota Highlander. I intend to drive our other Jetta for at least another 5 years. Condition: The car is immaculate with just less than 130,000 very well maintained miles. All required maintenance has been performed and documented by Vaden VW in Savannah, GA. The only indication that this car is not new are a few very minor scratches on the paint and some bruising of the alloy wheels on the curb side. Under the chrome grill is a small strip where the gray paint has peeled off in above 4 quarter size areas (can't see on the pictures). The driver and passenger leather seats show some character marks that are also not visible in the pictures. There is also some delamination on some of the radio buttons also, however, the car condition still easily fits into the Kelly Blue Book definition of excellent. The car has only and always had the all weather floor mats. The carpets are in new condition. The unused carpet mats are included. The car has a light trailer hitch that I put on for transporting bicycles but has never been used. I will include the unassembled bicycle rack with the car.
