Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The R90S... dubbed "Germany's sexiest superbike"!! Probably BMW's best loved postwar street bike. Stylist Hans Muth was hired by BMW to create the R90S's milestone styling, featuring a dual "racing-style" seat, a fairing cowl, twin hydraulically operated front disc brakes, and the beautiful airbrush custom paint job in smoked silver-gray! This matching number Silver Smoke R90S comes with the accessory Hepco Becker hard bags and low original miles. Most importantly, it has a great (almost brand new - New Old Stock) seat and pan. Both sets of rims and tires are correct and almost new- Metzeler ME33 and ME99. Also has Koni shocks and Dyna III electronic ignition. Clock and voltmeter are the latter style with green digits. Previous sheet metal received a very nice paint job, but the tank does have a bubble...see pics. Chrome on exhaust shows its age. No air pump or toolkit. Bike rides fine, brakes fine and shifts fine...a good rider, no show queen. Turn signal indicator bulb burnt out. If I were to keep her, I'd replace some little rubber items and maybe a cable or two but that's about it. This bike is going to make the next owner very happy and proud I'm sure. Specs: http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/specpages/R90S.htm Pick up or delivery is the responsibility of the buyer but I'd be willing to ride it locally to a drop off point if needed or I can hold for a week or two. Please understand bike is approximately 35 years old and is not perfect. Frame and other areas could use some new paint and bikes always look better in pictures than up close. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to try and answer them but I'm no expert. I listed this bike a month ago but stopped the auction so my brother could have a bike to ride while he was here visiting over the holiday. It was an unexpected trip. I won't stop the auction again. I apologize to those who previously bid. Best of luck.
