This is one of those RARE OPPORTUNITIES for you to obtain a virtual "TIME CAPSULE MUSCLEBIKE LEGEND" a very Mint 1047cc Perseur Silver CBX’79 Super Sport. This incredible "SHOW QUALITY" first production year CBX was recently acquired from a fussy retired Honda Dealer who possessed a multitude of low mileage vintage Honda motorcycles. Little if any specific history is known about the bike however all indications point to the mileage display of 854 miles to be accurate by a direct parallel of the condition and tread depth of the ORIGINAL Dunlop Gold Seal F11 (front) and K127 (rear) tires. Amazingly even the front production orange, pink, and yellow tread lines are still clearly visible and vibrant. This bike literally appears as if it was just rolled off of a New Honda Dealers showroom floor for the first time. The factory OEM exhaust system has the correct original "HM 422" product code exhaust stamping along with the factory applied silver concealing paint at the exhaust joining points. The complete exhaust component system literally appears NOS. Original mint owners manual and factory toolkit are still intact. Even the rubber hydraulic brake hoses still display the date coded fonts as well as all factory warning labels, stickers, and instructional decals are present. The machine recently had the carburetor fuel system thoroughly cleaned, reset, and re-calibrated, a fresh oil and factory Honda oil filter change, new NGK D8ES spark plugs, and a new OEM Yuasa brand battery, all performed by a certified Honda Service Technician. This bike starts immediately, idles smoothly, revs "very briskly", plus runs, rides, and shifts flawlessly and precisely the way you would expect a bike of this vintage with 800 miles on it to perform. As all of you CBX aficionados know the 1979 "first year production" CBX’S have very unique features such as the only year for the 150 mph limit speedometer, the hotter camshaft profiles providing better performance, the more attractive "mono-plated" finish brilliant comstar wheels, etc., etc., and are clearly the most valuable and collectable series. Undisputably the bike you see pictured here is a serious COLLECTOR / INVESTMENT grade "no excuses" CBX that you would be proud to display or ride plus would allow you a high degree of bragging rights to all of your corresponding vintage motorcycle contact individuals. The 1979 Honda CBX’S have traditionally increased in value since their 1978 introduction and are probably destined to be a 20-25K bike in the not too distant future due to it’s uniqueness and engineering marvels.
