Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful 1961 Mercedes 190sl roadster. This car has been meticulously restored to nearly showroom condition. This car stands up to close inspection inside, outside and underneath. No corners were cut and it shows, a lot of care and effort went into making this car right. This car was purchased by the current owner in this restored condition from a doctor's estate. The restoration was most likely completed about 10 years ago and it has always been garaged since. I am assisting the current owner with the sale through ebay, and either I or him will do all we can to answer any questions or concerns, provide additional pics. etc. The 38k miles on the car are stated to be original. Inspection of the car is welcomed, a vehicle lift will be available if you want to see the underneath of the car. The red paint is in great condition, although there are a few chips at the edge of the hood and the red paint is peeling off on a few of the chrome hubcaps. All chrome on the car is in beautiful shape, the only exception being a small area on the bottom of the rear bumper that is peeling a little. Its not visible unless under the car. The black leather interior is just beautiful, the upholstery and carpets are perfect with no tears or stains anywhere. The doors and dash are equally perfect. The black convertible top fabric is new also and is in perfect condition. Most seals and felts are all new, the exception being the trunk seal which shows some cracking. All gauges including the clock work. Mechanically, this car appears to completely original with several of the factory engine stickers still showing. The exception is the new weber carb conversion that was recently completed. The webers may need some additional tuning as there is a hesitation if the throttle is pressed very quickly. The drivetrain feels tight and quiet, no gear noise, clutch problems etc. There is a slight pull to the left when braking, so the front drums probably need to be adjusted. Buyer will be responsible for shipping arrangements, I will be available to help with loading the vehicle onto your carrier etc. Only cash or certified check will be accepted as payment. Call Chris with any questions M-F 8am-6pm @ 410-420-7222 Car is also advertised locally, seller reserves right to end auction early if sold.
