NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!!!!! THIS CAR HAS BEEN RELISTED AND MUST BE SOLD! My loss is your gain. 1986 BMW 635CSi Transmission: 5-Speed Manual Features: Black leather interior, sports electric seats, electric sunroof. Limited-Slip diff which works well. All the electrics work including the seats, windows and sunroof. Leather interior is in good condition. 15" BMW alloy wheels. (from E34 5 Series) Other: Dunlop Sports All-Season tyres with plenty of tread. I bought the car with brand new tyres and have put about 9,000 miles on them. Brand new radiator and brakes all round were installed just before I bought the car. I drove the car through the Texas desert at high speeds and the cooling system held up very well. Clutch feel strong and grabs well. Transmission shifts well too. Whilst I owned the car I also had the ENTIRE suspension rebuilt. Front suspension has new Bilstein Touring shocks, new tie-rods, front control arm bushings and sway bar links and bushings. The entire rear axle was removed to install new subframe bushings, shocks, pitman arms and shock mounts. This cost me a total of just over $1500. This car handles and rides great as a result, unlike most BMWs of this age with worn suspension. My loss is your gain! The bad: Odometer has stopped working at 183,000 miles. This occurred a while ago and the car's mileage is now realistically about 191,000 miles. Some panels have rusting on them, I had the entire car checked out structurally and it there are no issues. (pictured) The structure of the car is strong and not rust affected. The car is also missing some minor pieces of trim such as the front passenger side bumper and a side bumper (pictured). These parts can easily be found at a wrecker for less than $20 but I have not had the time to get them! Driver's door lock also does not work, so you need to lock/unlock the car from the boot! Antenna is also broken. (pictured). Gearshift from 1st to 2nd is slightly notchy but is very normal for a BMW of this age. (my 1996 328i does the same thing) Overall: Really great car with all the important things right. Lots of great stuff BMW enthusiasts should want, 5-Speed manual, LSD, brand new bilstein shocks and suspension, sports seats!!! Mechanically very strong car with all the maintenance side of things taken care of recently. Minor issues that are common for a car that is 24 years old such as missing pieces of vehicle trim, rust and jammed lock. Overall great car.
