I got my hands on this little beauty by accident. It is mostly original: 1200 CC, 34 HP, 6 volt, Solex Carburator. No or very little rust. I think some Beetle collector should have it. I bought it from a Gentleman in Salt Lake City Utah . The car was stolen and the Arkansas State police stopped the thief and locked him up. He drove it all the way from Utah to Fort Smith Arkansas. I stored the car for the Arkansas State police who contacted the owner. I then bought it because I grew up in Germany and my first car was a 57 Beetle. Memories of the good old times. I had it painted by a body shop and it look's real nice. I don't have the time to work on it and don't like to spend more money on it. I looked at it for to long. So long that the gas gummed in the tank and carburator. I cleaned the gas tank, Fuel pump, installed a carburator kit, new spark plugs, and points, and new 6 volt battery. It runs again. The interior is good. It has oil leaks, and the motor need to be rebuilt, if you like to make a long road trip. The body is on a 1967 pan. Reserve is low.........good luck!
