-1985 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer TURBO DIESEL- Note: I will add pictures in the morning, I just wanted to go ahead and get the auction started. I will put pictures on that will be taken first thing in the morning. Thanks!!!! OK everyone, up for sale is a beautiful 1985 Jeep Cherokee Turbo Diesel. If you try to research them on the internet your search will yield very little results. This just shows how rare these Jeep's are in the US. They were very popular in Europe, but were only made 1985-1987 in the US. Matter of fact, this will more than likely be the only one of these for sale in the US for a good time. If you try searching on eBay you will find NONE. This Jeep is in overall decent condition considering the year. The Jeep has 129,0** miles, which is extremely low miles for a diesel and also taking into consideration the year. That's just over 5,000 miles driven per year. The body has a little bit of surface rust, but the Jeep isn't rusted out anywhere on it. The frames rails are also good and solid along with the floors. Mechanically this Jeep runs like a top, 5 speed manual transmission shifts smooth, motor purrs and the turbo helps the Jeep get to speed rather quickly for it's size. 4WD goes into 4 high and 4 low with ease and doesn't make any sounds or anything of that nature. Another rare thing about this Jeep is that the AC stills blows ICE COLD and has no problem doing it. Another great thing about this Jeep is that it averages around 30 miles per gallon and that is great for a SUV. As you can tell from the Autocheck History Report, the Jeep has had 3 owners. I also do have a few small receipts from a few small things that the Jeep has had done. I originally bought the Jeep wanting to turn it into a little toy/project and have some fun with it, but I think this Jeep should go to someone that would like to keep it in it's original condition or like to restore it back to perfect condition, which really wouldn't take too much time or money. This Jeep is a rare piece of Jeep history and could really be worth some money someday, I wish I could keep it until then, but don't have the extra space in the garage for this thing to sit for years to come. I really hope this Jeep goes to a good home to someone that appreciates the rarity of it. I can't talk this thing up enough, you just really need to come drive it and see how good it drives and the motor pulls just great. For some reason eBay doesn't have a selection for the correct motor size for the Jeep, but the Jeep has a 2.1 Liter Turbo Diesel. The GOOD: -EXTREMELY RARE -2.1 Liter Turbo Diesel -5 Speed Manual Transmission -Runs AMAZING -Many new parts. -Exhaust is new. -Several electronic parts have been replaced. - New Battery - NewTerminals -Comes with new starter. -Comes with new fuel filter. -Has been looked over by a mechanic. -Inspected. -AC Blows COLD -Motor & Turbo run and pull great. -Transmission and Transfer Case are smooth. -Interior is in Excellent condition. -All power options work great. -4WD Works Excellent -Clutch is Great -Tire are good. -Full Size Spare -Block Heater works Great -Fresh Oil Change The Bad: -The Headliner was taken out by original owner. -Dash Lights for gauges don't work, maybe a fuse?? -Surface Rust -Paint faded a little with time. Other than those few small things this Jeep is great. It could also make someone a good Bio Diesel conversion with very little work.
