Vehicle Detail
1976 FJ55 Toyota Land Cruiser 153K miles4spd, 4x46 cylinder 2F engineInterior and weatherstripping redoneEverything works99% originalTruck runs good, it's my daily driver. Looks terrific inside and out, this is the nicest one you will see in the wild that has not been restored or hacked up. If you are looking for a classic Land Cruiser to restore or drive the kids to church, this is the one you have been waiting for. It really turns heads! If you are a woman, this truck will get you a man, pronto. This is an Arizona truck with little rust. Body work and exterior paint in 2008. Interior has not been painted, some surface rust and small hole repair on passenger side floor. Truck comes with dealer-installed AC that I have not tested. Interior: Seats recoveredNew headliner installedSun visors recoveredNew dash capNew carpet kit installed over top of original floormats, which are in good conditionRear cargo panels replacedRear heater has been replaced with non-originalRear window works from dash switchOriginal AM radio worksSeatbelts installed, incl. shoulder belts on front seatInterior has not been painted, Rust converter used on surface rust on passenger floor area. What I'd recommend doing: Possibly paint the interior.Exterior:Small about of lower fender and rocker rust fixedRear bumper replaced with non-stock steel bumperAmazingly, the drip rail and roof is rust free. This is really something with these old trucks! What I'd recommend doing: Nothing - looks great as-isMechanical:Truck is mechanically original. It has all of the normal leaks of a classic un-restored vehicle: oil drips, transfer case dripsStarts and runs great, is what I'd call an "around-town" driver. Has original front disk brakesLoose steeringWhat I'd recommend doing:replace/repair steering joints to tighten up steeringrebuild engine and transfer case (if I wanted to drive long distances)rear disk brake conversion (comparable price as replacing the original brakes and cylinders) Bidding and Shipping:I'd like a $500 deposit within two business days of winning bid.If you have 0, 1, or negative feedback, please contact me before bidding.Because this truck is listed on other sites, I reserve the right to end this auction earlyThis truck is in Indianapolis, IN. You will need to have it shipped if you are far away, so please plan accordingly.Serious inquiries only, please Link to full gallery: http://picasaweb.google.com/robotor/1976FJ55?authkey=Gv1sRgCIHY2P_lsL35Xg&feat=directlinkOn Jul-08-10 at 18:41:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Videos of this truck driving: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qriqq9JRk58 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cR868MVENA
