Vehicle Detail
Ask all of your questions before you bid. It costs money and time to list cars here, so don't waste mine. If you aren't going to complete the sale then don't bid. I will report non-paying buyers to eBay. This is not a new car and the price reflects that. Don't build up some fanatasy in your mind that this is a new car for this price, things like that don't happen in the real world. We're all grown ups now, it's time to stop acting like babies. This is a "No Reserve" auction. I’m listing this car for sale for my Dad. The title is in his name and he can describe it in detail for those who are seriously interested. The car is in Versailles, Ohio 45380. The buyer is resonsible for transporting it. If you have any questions about the car, you may call Les at 937-423-9143. I purchased this for him several years ago at an auction which was open only to ASC Incorporated employees. I guess ASC is best known for having built the ASC/McLaren Mustang, the sunroofs and convertible tops, and the Buick GNX - but they also built many specialty vehicles throughout the years as well as prototype and show cars on behalf of the Original Equipment Manufacturers. http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/a/asc/asc.htm This Eldorado was built as a prototype to show GM what that generation of the Eldorado would look like as a Biarritz. It has the traditional stainless steel roof and trim, as well as Biarritz emblems that Biarritz cars were known for. There’s no sunroof. The build quality of the Biarritz unique components is of top quality, they do not look like prototype parts. The story of this car as it was told to me while working at ASC was that once the car was completed the new Cadillac Brand Manager issued a mandate that Cadillacs would no longer have vinyl tops. This meant the end of the official Biarritz model Eldorados. Since the demise of the Eldorado nameplate this may be the last Biarritz to ever be built. There have been a few dealer specials, but I’ve never seen another example of the last generation Eldorado with a stainless steel roof. Once the program was cancelled the car was driven for a few years by Heinz Prechtor, the owner of the company, before I purchased it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinz_Prechter The title still shows ASC Incorporated, of One Sunroof Center as the previous owner. It’s a 1992 model, which was the first year of the last generation. It has been my Dad’s daily driver and has always been reliable. The car still looks great but shows wear. Dad put the later model wheels on it which are in great shape. If you have any questions about the car, you may call Les at 937-423-9143.
