1992 Cadillac Seville - seriously, one of the best looking 1992 Sevilles you will find! I bought this in south Florida this winter. It is low mileage (68,000), leather, and absolutely clean and straight. The body simply can't be much better. The paint still is glossy and the fabric top is great. This is one of those Florida Edition models that the Cadillac dealers in the wealthier sections of Florida put together. So, where it normally says "Cadillac" on the trunk this car has "Coral" in gold Cadillac script. There is also a nicely kept fabric roof as part of this package. My mother had the Oldsmobile version of this Florida interpretation on her 1993 Oldsmobile Regency when she lived in Naples. I have taken pictures of the underside of the door edges just to show you how clean this car comes to you. No rust at all. The engine is strong and gets surprisingly good mileage (I got over 20 coming back to Ohio) and the transmission shifts perfectly.It does not drive like an 18 year old car at all. The pictures will tell you more than any words can. I fell for this car by its appearence and was happy to find it. I did work at cleaning up the engine compartment and had to work with the air conditioner a bit. I only sell cars with full disclosure. I do not like surprises from my sellers and so I provide full disclosure when I sell. I believe this is a great car and the new owner will be thrilled but I want to tell you of the experience I had in my time with the car. I bought it on the east side of Florida and drove it over to a convention in Fort Myers and back to Fort Lauderdale to pick up our daughter who flew in to enjoy a few days before we headed north. We drove back over to Naples and the car was excellent. I decided to have the oil changed before heading north and the change place talked me into a coolant flush. The car overheated in Georgia and the coolant level was down a bit so I added anitfreeze and some radiator seal and continued driving home without incident. After I got here, I did some research and spent some time with a mechanic who told me that these cars with the aluminum engine have some thermal expansion issues with the block and the heads. Cadillac specifies some coolant pellets and these were not done with my coolant change in Florida. Check out these facts on the Cadillac owner forum. The mechanic retorked the head bolts and reflushed the system and refilled it and I have driven it for another 2,000 miles and its been fine. If this had not fixed the issues, we would have replaced the head gasket for a final fix but there are no symptoms or issues at this time. In the worst case scenario, the head gasket can allow exhaust and coolant to mix, per the Cadillac owners forum. Again, it has been fine and I have driven it for a couple of thousand miles and it seems fine. This engine is pre NorthStar and per my mechanic, the early NorthStar engines were the worst for these issues. These pre-NorthStar engines are not as prone to head gasket issues. There was also a small leak in the air conditioning unit that seems to have sealed with tightening a fitting on the return line and we added refrigerant with leak guard. I have spent many words describing something that I believe is a fixed problem. This takes the spotlight off of what this car is and that is one of the best and cleanest Sevilles you will find. This car should do nothing but appreciate in value from this point. These were beautiful cars and so much prettier and more powerful than their predecessors. The description coming from the serial number denotes the car has a sunroof. This is wrong, it does not have a sunroof. Let's get back to the car. The leather is like new. There is a stitching pull on the top of the back seat that really is not noticable and a little wear on the driver's bolster. All else is fine. The car has a no-smoking Cadillac plate on the dash and it seems to have never been smoked in. The windows and the glass are perfect and the body is an A+. Transmission and all accessories are an A+. There is a sticker for the seat inflatable bolsters on the center console that has curled with heat. I was told this is easy to buy from a Cadillac dealer but I have not looked into it. The dash is great with no cracks. The reostat for the headlights is inconsistant when the automatic headlights first come on but it settles down shortly. These are little niggly things but again, my policy is no surprises for my buyers. I have done the hard part; I found this in Florida and brought it up north where perfect body 1992 Sevilles are rare. I have a need to divest of toys and build cash due to a financial issue within our family. I am running a no reserve auction. My first idea was to start at 1/3 of what I have in this car, but I have later thought that people like a ridiculously low initial bid to have some fun. I thought I bought it right and I thought I would be keeping it. This is an opportunity for a buyer. Car is located in the southwest Toledo, Ohio area. Look at the pictures! It is a great looking car! OK, have fun and good luck in your bidding! Bid early and often! This is an auction to buy a great car. It is not an auction to win for fun and just winning the right to decide if you want to buy a car. Please, bid only if you intend to keep up your end of the bargain and complete the transaction. Figure out how far from Toledo you are and make sure that you want to make that trip before you make that bid. Car is for sale locally as well and so it might get sold and removed from the auction. I will not do this in the final 24 hours of the auction. Finally, since I listed this car, I have found that my father has pancreatic cancer. I need to go back to Florida and visit with him and it looks like I will need to leave just before this auction is over. We can complete the auction and make arrangements but the car will not be available for pickup until the 14th of July when I return to Ohio.
