1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle 5 day auction NO RESERVE Mileage EXEMPT on Title Please read the entire description before asking me questions First this is a no reserve auction. Please do not contact me asking what will i take for it now. The last bid wins this beetle. Very simple. Last bid is what i will take for it. I have owned this car for the last 2 years as a fun toy. I purchased in rust free South Carolina. Since I have had it I have done several things to the Bug, maintence and Upgrades. 1) Full Tune Up - Wires, Cap, Plugs, Rotor 2) New Lenses - Front and Rear ($200) 3) Regular Oil Changes 4) New Tires and Rims (8 Spoke Empi) ($800) 5) Replaced Front Suspension (Springs and Shocks) ($400) 6) New Battery and Starter and replaced ignition switch ($300) 7) Replaced the Shifter and bushings with a T style short shifter ( I have the original and goes with car) ($100) 7) Recently PA Inspected (good till may 2011) Other things about the bug. It is a great fun head turner. The interior apears original but in decent shape. Drivers seat has some wear on it. Dash is cracked. I have dash pad over the dash to dress it up. The passenger sunvisor is missing. The exterior of the car is very presentable. Some of the trim is fading. It is not a show car. But very presentable fun car. Does have the usual nicks in the paint here and there. I would rate it an 8 out of 10. The Underside is very clean and free of rust. The miles are exempt on the title. In PA a vehicle over 10 years can be exempted due to the age. It basically means they just don't track the mileage anymore. The mileage on the odometer is 30,420. This is most likely not the true mileage. I have no idea of the actual mileage. Since the engine has been rebuilt, it isnt that big of a deal. When I purchased the car the previous owner had the engine rebuilt. It runs strong and great. Starts right up. Smokes very little. This beetle does not have heat. The channels were removed during the rebuild. No big deal. This is a fun fair weather car. Since I have had it has been garage kept until i brought it down to my used car lot last week. All electrical swithes work, headlights, tail lights, reverse light, hazard, horn, fan. The RADIO does not work. Don't really care because the bugs sounds good with the stinger style exhaust. The only reason I am selling it is because I have to many toys. This vehicle as well as all items i sell on ebay is being sold 'AS IS' with 'NO WARRANTY' It is also for pick up only here in CARLISLE, PA. I do not ship. If you need it shipped it is your responsibility to quote, arrange, pay and schedule it. I will not get involved in it. This item is for sale locally and auction may end at anytime.
