2001 Taurus, body in good shape (except for a crack in a tail light...light works, just housing is cracked), transmission great, interior clean, all power options work, great tires, brakes great. -Might need an engine rebuild/replacement soon. I was told that it has spun bearings due to the oil pressure warning light coming on at idle after the car warms up. The labor alone would be between 500-700 at a local shop, plus cost of the engine. Engines run around 350-650 here on ebay, but you might be able to get an engine for as little as 300 -400 at your local salvage yard..... So for a total investment of apx 2800, you can have a really great running car..... I bought it at a local auction for 2,000 and had a oil pump put in....(350) and of course, found that someone hid the problem about the bearings....so I am just trying to get out from under it. (I do not think for me the car is worth the headache, after investing 2400 dollars, I cannot see myself putting another 1200 into it. ) Maybe for you, it might work. If you have a taurus that needs a transmission, or interior, or shocks/struts, body parts...etc this one is a great parts car too. Local pickups only, I will not ship. Does not need to be towed, it can be driven away, though I suggest not sitting in traffic, because the oil pressure issue.
