1963 Karmann Ghia Convertible Buy It Now: $7,500 (set to decline $5500 or less) Vehicle will NOT be shipped. Local buyers only please. This car was purchased about 4 years ago on  the Samba for $4000. The person I bought it from did not know the  history, and neither do I. For this low price you are getting the  car for free, so you can drive as-is or start over and have the paint/body  redone by someone other than Maaco. New rebuilt 1915cc engine built by Volker's with less than 500 miles since  rebuild $3000 New silver metalic paint (Maaco-far from perfect) $2000 New Canvas top, headliner, pad and bows. $1200 New carpet $300 New complete floor pans both sides $800 New rubber all around $300+ New windshield $150 Rebuilt Freeway Flyer transmission geared for the 1915. $1200 Front disc brake conversion and new master cylinder $800 And MANY more things as you can imagine... The unfinished: This car was originally white, and inside the trunk and hood have not been  painted. Passenger door lock needs to be locked from the inside (key doesn't work) Drivers door sags some due to a crack and needs to be lifted slightly when  closing (spot weld needed). Windshield wipers and squirters need to be hooked up (all parts there) No stereo or speakers Fuel Gauge needle is bent, so repair it or get a new one Ignition switch needs to be re soldered ( it works but the wires can get loose)  I bought a new ignition switch also, but it's just the connection that is weak Headlight assembly needs to be aligned better with the chrome beauty rings. This car turns heads everywhere, and you can keep up with traffic unlike the  1200cc original engines these things sported. Vehicle will NOT be shipped. Local buyers only please.
