That being said, is still a wonderful car that is ready for a new owner. Keep reading for complete description... Selling a Ford Probe GT. The sportier GT model came standard with a 2.5L DOHC V6 engine, low profile P225/50VR16 tires, 4-wheel disc brakes, unique front and rear fascias, fog lights, 5-spoke aluminum wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, driver seat power lumbar/seat back side bolster adjustment, and performance instrument cluster with tachometer. This is the sportier looking sibling to the Mazda MX6. First, the good: - This is a beautiful car! Still looks great and the design of this car has held up well compared to cars of similar age. - It's a GT. Has the 2.5L V6 instead of the sluggish 4 cylinder. Also, has the desirable 5-speed manual. The clutch works perfectly and the shifts are very smooth. This car is fun to drive! - Body is in very good shape with only a slight dent on the rear driver-side. It's barely noticeable in the pictures, but it's there. Also, has good matching Falken tires all around and a full size spare with identical alloy rim. The rear hatch struts work properly, they hold the hatch firmly up. And, the bad: - Engine not running. My daughter said it was making a knocking sound then quit after she got home. Has not started since, now the battery is dead. Jumping the battery, the engine turns over but does not start. Will have to be towed or pulled. - A/C not working. Does blow extremely cold when freshly charged, but isn't holding a charge. - Outside seam on the driver seat is ripped. Seat covers would be easy fix. Antenna broken ($5-$20 fix). I was going to fix the car, but my daughter has a new car already and I can't keep 4 cars! Car has been in the garage, but needing to sell quickly to store another vehicle. The parts on this car would sell for more than it's listed for. Some people that want even more power swap the U.S. KL-DE engine for the higher performance KL-ZE Japanese version. The primary difference of the Japanese version is that it produced 36 more horsepower through higher compression pistons, aggressive camshafts, intake manifold and head. There are many available on eBay for $600 to $800 and have less than 65K miles on them. (That's what I was going to do.)
