Vehicle Detail
Hello there, I have for sale my 1994 Chevy 3500 V8 commercial truck with a stainless steel rear catering body and the front cab has a brand new cherry red paint job - looks sharp! The truck engine, drive train, and transmission has 127,000 miles and is in excellent mechanical condition as these Chevy 3500's were designed to surpass 300,000 miles. The catering body looks great with its all stainless steel exterior outside of a few scrapes and scratches. One of the 5 rear body doors has a dent and could either be replaced or covered with sign-age. The truck is installed with the following equipment: - 2 Warming ovens - 8 Pan steam table - Coffee maker - Hot water heater - Cold water tank - Small 3 compartment sink - Waste water tank - 2 Refrigerated (large) compartments - 1 Freezer compartment - Trash compartment - Storage compartment - Plenty of display/shelf stable food compartments - 1 extra slot for additional equipment ( maybe flat top grill or hot dot roller) - Rear catering cab speakers from front stereo The only other obvious flaws are that the truck needs a new compressor for the refrigeration system ( est. $500 repair - or you can just use ice or dry ice to keep things cold), a few of the rear cabin doors could use new hydraulic door closers ( not necessary ), and a few of the back running lights need to be replaced ( no big deal ). This is a great running truck that will easily go another 100K miles and is ready to go to work and look good while doing so. You can serve customers at Chicago Parks, outside of bars & clubs, industrial parks, construction sights, busy neighborhoods, or the lake front. Serve hot & cold sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, cheese steaks, BBQ, soup, chili, coffee, soft drinks, ice cream, chips, and whatever other snacks you have in mind. I bought this truck in May after being laid off - planning on making a living with it while toughing out the recession but recently got called back to work so I'm not able to work the truck - hence the sale. I did quite a bit of work on the truck after I bought it - cleaning it up and making repairs... Its good to go! I'll entertain all reasonable offers. Make me an offer!
