I have a 73 Mach 1 Mustang that i bought a few months back to restore.A Bill Of Sale only car.The problem is i am buying a place and can't put money into car.This car needs alot of work but is a real good starter to proceed with restoration process.There is some rust in the usual places. the pans are patched and a local shop said they were ok.The trunk will need grinding down and prepped.I didn't raise carpet up completly so don't know if it is thru or not there.However,The worst of it seems to be one spot above the windshield and some on the rails The local shop said the rails weren't bad really.Plus the right quarter needs replaced.You may only need a half quarter.It looks good overall for the year model though.The interior is 75 to 80% complete.The seats and headliner dash and console have been redone.I have new carpet,door panels,Door sill strips,and some other minor interior stuff for it.I have everything for the grill area i think,but the grill is a little cracked and rough looking.The trim is new and i have a new spoiler for the front.I also have a new Nasa Hood and a very good used factory fender off another Mustang.I'm sure i'm forgetting something.The car currently has a 302 in it and has been checked out to be a good one at a local shop.The owner built or restored a 69 Mach 1 and is famalair with the Mustangs.Since motor has been replaced with a 302 the mileage on car body may or may not be accurate,Idon't know mileage on motor.I put car in shop to be checked out.I have receipts for over 1800.00 dollars work on Front End,The Tie Rods,Idler Arm ,Center Link and Bushings,Oil,and Fuel Filters and a new Battery.Plus the Carb gone thru, Lines cleaned or replaced and tank cleaned out.Wheel Cylinders and Calipers Plus Brake Shoes, Grease Rear Seal,Points Rotors and Condenser.Have been replaced as well.Replaced Radius Arm Bushings,Both and Lower controll Arm.In addition i also bought 723.00 dollars of stuff from Mustang Unlimited.:A Ram Air steel hood.,Mouldings for grill area and screws with clips, ABS Front Spoiler plastic.,Screw set,Mirror Controll Knob and a can of Black semi Gloss Epoxy paint.I have a bunch of new and used parts that will go with car.I have over 4800.00 in this car.I will take pics of reciepts as well.It sat 8 months before i purchased it due to broke tie rod.That is what caused damage to car.I drive the car down road here and there to keep it up,But due to fact it needs gear box work and possibly more front end work I wouldn't reccomend driving a long distance till work in front is assed and fixed..As the previous owner lowered the front end.The steering gear box needs rebuilt as far as i can tell.This is really a nice car to restore.I hate i can't continue it myself.I drive it down road to keep it up once and a while.I was told at shop.That the motor is a good one and the only time i noticed it smoke is when you first crank it after sitting a while.Then after a little bit it seems to quit.The car really sounds good.
