1979 Ford Ranchero Up for sale is a 1979 Ford Ranchero. This car was being restored by an enthusuiast that wanted to build a one of a kind truck and he started from the inside and was working to the outside. The truck has a new engine and I have been told that it is a big block possibly 427 or 390 ci engine. It is definetly a big block and not the stock 351. The engine has got a whole bunch of performance goodies and appearance items. It has a Holly hi performance 4 barrel carb and an Edlebrock manifold. It also has headers, hi torque starter, MSD electronic ignition, braided fuel lines with inline guage. New chromed alternator, new brake master cylinder and booster, new power steering pump. It appears to have a new transmission. The rear suspension also has air bags and the exhaust system has HPE bypasses. Make no mistake this truck was being set up for getting ahead of the pack. When you start the engine the cam tell you the story of whats going on under the hood. There is also a heavy duty winch installed on the bed. The body is in fair shape for its age. There is surface rust and minor dings but no penetrating rust or serious body damage. It does need minor body and paint work to bring it to perfection. The interior is in decent shape just needs a good cleaning. It is the leather(ette?) grey Brougham interior. Tires need replacing also. Also you need to be aware if you are from a state that requires smog inspections that this build does not have any smog control equipment. This car was probably being built for the track. This truck is being offered for sale by California Storagemasters in El Segundo Ca. The owner of the truck passed away and his estate gave it to the company due to storage fees on many items he had store here that were owed. You will receive Lien sale documents from the State of California as the title was lost. I will be happy to take additional specific photo's that you might need. The truck is available for inspection during normal business hours. I will provide assistance to an out of state buyer and the shipper he chooses. After purchase you will be given one week to pick up the vehicle or you can continue to store it at the company at additional expense.
