Vehicle Detail
In the past nine months this car has had the following work done: new pageant blue paint, new carpet, new tires (maybe ten miles on the tires), new convertible top, bumpers sanded and re-coated, gas tank dropped and cleaned, new fuel sending unit in tank, new doglegs and all trim fasteners, new taillight lenses, new front parking lenses, new starter, new fuel pump, new accelerator cable, new battery and double ground cable, both carburetors rebuilt and new intake gaskets, some new lines under hood, new dash cap, new interior dash light, new CD player and speakers, new driver's side rear view mirror, door window rubber and fuzzy seals, all light bulbs gone through and replaced, new turn signal flasher unit, wire wheels repainted and clear coated. The door top moldings have been replaced with walnut ones, if purchased from Moss Motors they are a $950 option. This MG only has 38900 original miles, I purchased it from a gentleman who drove it and had health problems, parked the car in 1996 and it stayed in the garage until last fall. It previously had the dual carbs and earlier intake manifold installed, and a new, larger radiator cooling fan put in that has a dash mounted factory type switch (new). It has the factory convertble top boot and the original tonneau supports and cover, all of which are in great shape. It has the original tool pocket in the trunk with jack, lead hammer and wheel spanner along with a full size wire wheel spare and hold-down. Everything electrical has been gone through and works properly, the only thing I believe it needs is a new reverse lamp switch as the backup lights do not work, and I have a new brake warning switch to go with. Also included are the original starter and fuel pump, both of which still work fine. When it was painted the driver's door rubbed a small strip of paint off the front fender vertical edge, not too noticeable, yet still there. The seats are original, in great shape, just some sun wear. The dash on the far passenger side has a small hole in it low next to the door. I have not had the front end aligned after replacing and balancing the tires last week. Nothing leaks under this car, it has been sound the entire time I have owned it. The car runs strong down the road, shifts perfectly, has great oil pressure and compression, the engine runs in the right temperature range, and if you have been in one, a blast to drive. I think the price is fair for the year and condition. Thanks for looking.
