Vehicle Detail
FYI, The first buyer had no downpayment, I offered second chance to the next buyer, he quibbled about that price. I agreed on a lower price of $3,800.00 because I need the $2,500.00 now...I called Ebay, found out I can't offer a lower-priced second chance offer...I had to relist with a buy-it-now price, tell the buyer and he was supposed to pay right away....but he's driving home now...I hope he gets home before one of you buy it! I wouldn't have listed it at this low of a price if I were just relisting it....*Buyer must pay a $2,500 depost within 12 hours of winning the auction or I will cancel your bid and offer to the next highest bidder.* I will hold in my garage thru the end of September, 2010 if need be, until you can arrange pick-up...full payment must be made by either cash or deposit of your sent personal check made into my checking account at the time of pick-up...SO, IF YOU DON'T HAVE $2,500.00 TO PAY ME (via Paypal payment) WITHIN 12 HOURS OF WINNING THE AUCTION DO NOT BID. Thanks, I need that portion of the money now. So, in other words...if you get it for the low starting price of $2,500.00 you must pay for it in full within 12 hours, if you pay more than the minimum the rest can be paid upon pick-up. YOU MUST TAKE IT'S HARD-TOP OFF...It's such a sweet ride that way, I always got so many stares and envious looks (I originally puchased it to attract men, but it attracted everyone under the sun!)...this is one Sweet 1968 Jeepster Commando (MADE IN THE USA by KAISER CO.), V-6 (slant 6) cylinder automatic w/4x4 on the floor.....THE HARD-TOP COMES OFF EASILY, just bolts around it that you remove and save....I and my family loved driving it as a convertible, you can see how it would look from the original manuals, paper work shown and it has a truck club and TWO ORIGINAL SETS OF KEYS that work with the glove box and compartment between the front seats! I showed a pic of the little damage on the pass vinyl seat, forgot to take a pic of the almost perfect driver's seat which is cloth, not vinyl....made that way, I guess so if driver wore shorts his legs wouldn't stick to the seat....I had seat covers on them, removed them to take pictures of the original equipment. I will put the floor mats I had in it before, took out so you could see the vinyl floor in great shape. Thanks! fyi, The rumble seat has no seat belts...also made that way. I am also including THE REPAIR MANUAL I FOUND ASAP I PURCHASED IT....RARE AND HARD TO FIND, SEE PICS. ***The passenger door's arm-rest has some duct tape on it. There are a few miscellaneous dings and scratches, nothing like the front end damage and the right rear tail light fell into pieces when I removed it to change the bulb...I saved them, there is a pic of the pieces sitting on the spare tire. *** I am also including parts and more parts (the Jeepster's rims that I never used, some OLDSMOBILE RIMS and more stuff and some radios/cassette players in case you don't like the one that's in it, and clamps galore, heavy-duty ties-downs, tune-up kits, muffler repair kits, kits and more kits and stuff and more stuff....an old CASE POCKET KNIFE is in there too and more stuff (see pics) I am letting go with it that may or may not work with the Jeepster, stuff I accumulated and a vintage-like new mechanics creeper, two old oil change filter removers, two different sized lube guns and more stuff...some hoses I bought in case I ever needed to replace them and a hose piece made to size to replace the gas tank feed, cause when you fill it full to the max a little drips out....AND MORE STUFF, and there's a long pouch-type thing I put in it that holds all kinds of stuff with different pockets that extends the width of the rear hatch when opened. Please look at all uploaded pictures.... IT HAD THE ORIGINAL STUDDED TIRES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT, THEY WERE ILLEGAL, HAD TO REPLACE THEM, WISH I DIDN'T LET THEM DISPOSE OF THEM WHEN I HAD NEW TIRES PUT ON...There are 5 new top quality-barely used tires on it (One under spare cover). If you have any questions call me anytime of the day or night, I am disabled and always home (will leave message machine on if I leave.) @ 517-372-4885 IF YOU LIVE IN MICHIGAN YOU ARE WELCOME TO LOOK AT IT BEFORE THE BIDDING ENDS IN THREE DAYS FROM THIS LISTING. ***If you buy and pay for it I will hold/store in my garage for as long as you wish until you can arrange pick-up.*** You can trust me, I have reference, lived in the same house since March of 1981 and worked the same job for almost 20 years...the bastards let me go when I could no longer do hard physical labor, the job I did ruined my hips, had one replaced...tried to go back to work after the lousy 12 week FMLA leave, wasn't long enough...lost my JOB! I need the $$$ now!...why I'm selling. THIS JEEP IS NOT ALL RUSTED OUT, HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN ON SALTY ROADS, the black stuff u see is from me being stupid spraying rust-proofing in areas just to protect it if there was a slight scratch and where there may possibly get rust. I puchased this Jeepster in 1992. I immediately took it to Mike Miller Mercy/Lincoln Jeep to have it aligned. They kept it for two weeks! I called to ask what's up??? They said they needed a 2 buck gromment...told them I would bring it and pick it up now! Upon leaving I noticed a rattling in the 4x4 floor area, saw there were two new screws in it and two old laying on the floor, and the speedometer didn't work! I turned around, went back, told them they stole parts from my Jeep, that's why they kept it so long! They told me to prove it...I then noticed insignia's missing also! After driving it a week the driveshaft fell off! It wasn't my driveshaft, it was some rusted one, they stole mine. Well, it took me a few years to find an honest mechanic who would find the parts I needed all over the country as well as rebuilding some of the ones they stole, it cost a lot, but all was finally well with my Jeepster. Then a few years later the starter went bad, had it replaced with an AutoZone part (never buy from them), it lasted 3 months...been sitting in my garage for about 8 years now... It needs a new starter, the old fuel drained, prob a new battery and that's all. IT HAD 20,300 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT FROM AN OLD GEESER WHO USED IT ON HIS FARM, NEVER DROVE IT ON THE SALTED ROADS IN MICHIGAN....I put only a couple thousand miles on it...the mileage is actual! Once when I was driving in my garage, I used the automatic garage door opener and slammed into my workbench (took pills for my menstrual cramps, didn't realize they would react that way, barely made it home, then did that to my great jeep....not bad though....CLEAR LENSE ON FRONT RIGHT, BELOW HOOD, IS BENT-IN, can be fixed...hood closes and opens fine, nothing wrong with the hood...below the opening where the blinker is it's bent, see worst pic. IF YOU ARE VERY INTERESTED>>>> EMAIL ME ASAP @ lorasatterlee@hotmail.com, will send you many more pictures!!! PLEASE REQUEST THEM SOON THOUGH...IT WILL SELL IN 3 DAYS! From: LORA SATTERLEE (lorasatterlee@hotmail.com) Sent: Tue 6/15/10 12:56 PM To: Jeepster Honda (vintagejeep@gmail.com); greg schneider (iknow@comcast.net) Why did other's, who are selling their Jeepsters, have to replace the original seats? I don't understand how seats could get ruined to the point where they would replace them with seats from an entirely different vehicle. After i posted my Jeepster 4 sale I read the other 8 item descriptions of the ones 4 sale...I just don't understand...Do you understand how a Jeepster's seats could be so bad they need replacing instead of just reupholstered?
