If the car looks familiar, its because I sold it on here a few weeks ago for just over 1000, buyer assured me she would come get it and pay for it in one correspondence and that was the end.....she does not return my phone calls, I am out of patience, and relisting it tonight. No reserve above the 250 start, and now I added a buy it now, so it might not take 10 days to sell it again...I REALLY want the space in my driveway! I bought this car over 10 years ago for my son when he was learning to drive. The manual 4 speed was not such a good idea for a beginning driver. Maybe I secretly bought it for me, this car is a blast to drive. I haven't driven or even registered it for a few years now, time to let it go. Lots of things work fine, lots of things don't. It starts right up and drives and shifts fine, but the body and interior has suffered from just sitting around outside. The top is newer than the car, goes up easily and there is a cover that snaps on over the top when you are leaving it down. The trunk was broken into when I drove it to NYC a few years ago, and I never replaced the lock or did the body work around the lock or anywhere else on the car, for that matter. This car could be restored or used for parts, either way there is a lot of value here. I am selling the car "as is" and "where is" and without reserve above my 250 dollar starting price. I really just want the space instead of this cool little car;I have four other vehicles and not that big a place. Happy to show the car to any prospective buyers if you give me a call in advance of your visit. It will be the buyers responsibility to transport the car from here; if you get temporary plates, the car is fine for you to drive, but I do not have insurance on it, nor is it registered currently. Also, I started it up Friday morning, and left it running when I went to put up signs for a tag sale I was having, when I got back the car was off. When I tried to start it up again, it would not fire up. I let it sit for a few hours , it started easily and immediatelystopped again. It acts like it is just not getting fuel. I will fiddle with it again tomorrow, but right now it does not start instantly.....something this car ALWAYS has done. The gas in it is certainly years old, so I am a little suspicious that something may have clogged up. It has fuel injection. If the fact that it might not start affects any of the people who have bid already, feel free to pull your bids. I will try and clear up the starting problem, but I want it to sell, running or not, and as long as it goes formore than my 250 start I will be satisfied.On Jun-25-10 at 07:03:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Talked to an expert mechanic about the car not starting, and he was pretty confident that my electric fuel pump must have failed. Not sure what it would entail to fix that, but consider that when you bid. Thanks.
