This is 1990 Mazda Miata Convertible 5-speed. The car is in nice shape but does have some issues. Runs great. In order not to waste your time or mine I am listing all the problems. I got the car from my brother and had to replace the crank last summer and the fuel pump also I put a timing belt on it so all these parts are new. When i set the timing I was a hair off so it does need to be redone. I cant put any more money in the car because Ive been out of work for awhile and it really is nothing more than a big toy. Here are the things that need addressing. #1 The running lights, tail lights and dash lights will not work. I have checked the fuses and tried checking all the wires but I cant figure out what the problem is. Reverse lights, break lights, and headlights are working fine. #2 the timing is off I didnt get the cams properly aligned when I put the belt on so it lopes a little when you crank it but when running and driving its great it flies for a 4 cylinder. #3 There is a spot on the rear quarter where the paint is beginning to bubble I dont know what has caused this but it will probably start flaking only about a 3 in diameter spot. #4 A truck backed into the passenger rear and caused minor damage to the trunk and around the taillight. Its not very noticable very slight dent on and beside trunk. The tail lens is busted and will need to be replaced also the front running light lens is cracked and needs to be replaced. #5 There is a small tear about 2 1/2 inches in the top of the rear window. The top does not leak anywhere and the tear is under the lip of the rag top. I have checked it in heavy rain but if you spray it at the car wash it will probably allow water to come in. #6 The car does smoke alittle when you take off and change gears. I think when you get the timing set properly it wont do it anymore. I believe its gas smoke. Now for the good, The car runs great everything works AC is cold clutch is good shifts smoothly The original radio is not in the car, an alpine cd player has been installed with a 500 watt amp although it isnt the greatest sounding system could use some better speakers. Interior is in great shape well maintained. The top has been conditioned every 6 months. Oil changed every 3,000 and has passed all required yearly inspections. The tires on the car have less than 6,000 miles in excellent condition although the mags are not the best a little rusty. No rust on the car no where. Winning bidder will be responsible for getting the car. I will consider driving the car to someone within 150 miles but buyer will have to pay my expenses for trip. Better you come get it. I will expect a 200.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit within 2 days of closing of auction so If you are not sure DON'T BID and ask questions. This will insure serious bidders only. I prefer the balance in cash. Any moneyorders, certified checks or other payment methods will require Me and the buyer going to a bank to verify payment is not fraudulent. I am starting the bidding at 1760 Because of the condition I wont sell it for less than that.
