Vehicle Detail
1970 DODGE CHALLENGER This Challenger started its life out as a factory 318 FC7 (purple) car with a vinyl top. Over the years--most likely in the 80's--one of the previous owners upgraded the 318 Challenger with parts from a 383 70 'Cuda. Among the upgrades: front power disc brakes, a front sway bar assembly, rear sway bar spring purchase, also an 8-3/4 rear end, center console mounts with correct steering column and front bucket seats. The previous owner (before me) installed a 440 backed by a 3.91 sure grip rear end. He also sent the car off to a local body shop to be painted and partially restored. It wasn't until after the body had been striped and media blasted, that he decided not to proceed because of the rust on the roof, (caused by the vinyl top.) At that time (2001) not a lot of sheet metal was available for an E-body Mopar. That is why the car is as you see it: surface rust and rust. Over all it is a solid car. The entire floor pan is in great shape, as are all of the frame rails, along with the inner structure of the vehicle. I have a clean Utah title for this Challenger that matches the body stampings and the door vin #. Unfortunatly the original dash was swapped out for another so there is no dash vin tag at this point. I am including a few extras for the Challinger including a spare dash with a 70 Challenger vin tag. I have added the T/A hood which will need repair and a few other odds and ends for the e-body.
