Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevrolet El Camino Classic SS clone Fully restored mechanically , interior is fully restored (except for carpet) *CURRENT NADA RETAIL VALUE: is about $12,500.00 to $17,500. This is a not a low book car, as she is quite mechanically sound. I would describe her as a "mid to high book" car and I have it priced well below low book to sell it quickly. We have a new baby and I simply do not have the time to continue working on her. About the El Camino: The El Camino was a very important part of the Chevy line-up since the late 1950's. When the El Camino was assigned to the new mid-sized Chevelle line in 1964 the sales really took off. They had all of the same performance of their Chevelle SS "brothers" plus the utility of being a pick-up that could be used for business as well. The 1971 was one of the last years of "Muscle Cars". I get a lot of looks and comments on this car, plus she is quite fun to drive! I am the second owner of this 1971 El Camino. She is glossy black, not show quality but decent. The interior is fully restored except for carpet. The car itself has about 124,000 miles on it and odemeter reads the same. The motor and transmission have about 12,000 miles on them after we rebuilt it. Under the hood is a peppy and strong 350 V8 engine with a mild cam (comperable to a corvette cam) and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a very subtle shift kit. She starts right up, purrs like kitten and never smokes. This car does not burn oil. She car rides and drives like a new car. Take it for a test drive (Video) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HarlemIH8TE FEATURES & OPTIONS: - Chevy 350 V8 with a Mild Cam (about 12,000 miles on rebuild) - Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission (rebuilt with motor) - Edelbrock carb (just rebuilt) - Newly recovered seats - New headliner - New door panels - Power brakes - Power Steering - AM/FM/CD Stereo Sound System - Dual exhaust (new) - Brand new headers - New shocks - New brakes - New battery - Brand new BF Goodrich Radial T/A 's tires all around. This car has been taken care of and is partially restored,- it needs new carpet, a speedometer cable (it squeaks) and some minor body work to be fully restored. I drive her two or three times a week. I have this car up for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove it from E-bay at anytime prior to the reserve being met. YOUR BID CONSTITUTES A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT TO PURCHASE THIS CAR.
