Selling my prized 1970 Datsun 240Z. This car is almost rust free which is nearly impossible to find these days. The front fenders are new as of 2004 and it has been garage kept since. Since I bought it in 2001, it has been garage kept most of the time. The odometer reads about 94,879 but I do not trust this number. There is about 60,000 on the motor. Since I bought it and began restoration in 2001,the following has been done to the Z: 1) Stock wooden steering wheel added 2) Both front fenders replaced 3) Front bumper replaced with rare G-nose including nearly impossible to find light covers 4) Car stripped and repainted silver black trim 5) Japanese bullet mirrors added 6) Land runner power brake conversion 7) Yokohama tires <1000 miles 8) New wheels (see pics) 9) Pioneer stereo and speakers 10) New rear view mirror 11) Rewired 12) Plastic dash covers added 13) New emblems / badges 14) Japanese fender flares 15) New window cranks 16) New windshield 17) New radiator and fan 18) New head lamps 19) New license plate lamp Other info: - Has original antenna which works (can move up/down) - Has an L28 engine from a 280Z. 2.8 liters in a 240Z body About $15,000 invested. I was going to list it for about $15,000 but it needs the following that I budgeted in: What it needs (I am estimating the costs) 1) Tune up -$300 2) The transmission needs work (possible replacement, not sure, factoring in replacement costs) - $1500 3) Exhaust work- $500 4) Needs new ignition lock - $200 5) Needs spare tire - $250 6) Needs work on the door locks -$250 7) Horn does not work -$150 8) Battery holder (held securely in place now with strong cords) -$50 The vehicle runs (see youtube vids here) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCAEQaRnrHg I have a stock carpet set which I will provide for free with the car.
