The Details - I am offering an outstanding 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel for your consideration . This 300D is a great running economical car that would be a great candidate for a grease fuel conversion if that is your desire. It is fine just the way it is. It is fully equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, cruise control, climate control, electric sunroof, original Becker Mexico AM/FM Cassette radio, and rear defroster. AIR CONDITIONING IS ICE COLD!!! If you are reading this description you are probably familiar with the legendary Mercedes-Benz W123 Diesel sedans. It is among the most solid vehicles ever built by Mercedes and while extremely expensive when new, it offers incomparable luxury, quality and safety along with legendary diesel economy. What sets this car apart from other Mercedes 300Ds you might consider is the smooth and powerful turbo-charged engine, beautifully maintained interior and very nice exterior. There are no known mechanical or electrical issues with the car. This car is as reliable and fast as any vintage diesel you will find. The car is simply a pleasure to own and drive. The car is finished in beautiful Mercedes-Benz 480 Manganese Brown metallic paint with contrasting Palomino M-B Tex upholstery and the original coordinating loop carpeting in simply perfect conditioin. The condition of the paint is good as can be seen in the pictures. The chrome is good for a car this age. The interior is excellent but for a minor crack in the top vinyl surface of the outside bolster on the driver's seat. It is not torn through at all. There is no wear-through or discoloring on the upholstery anywhere. The zebrano wood trim is as new throughout the car, but for a couple of fissures in the clearcoat on the shift surround. The car comes with a brand new set of custom sisal front floor mats and the regular Mercedes factory floor mats that covered the original carpeting. In terms of mechanical condition, the car runs well. The engine has full power and the turbo operates as it should. There is no smoking from the tailpipe. No leaks. Exhaust system is fine. The car tracks straight down the road. The car can cruise effortlessly at 80-85 mph all day long. The car runs smoothly and has no known issues. The car's tires have 70% of their tread remaining. Brakes pads are new. Glow plugs are new and the car starts immediately. Fuel economy for this model is quite good. This is one of the nicest 300Ds you will find. The car spent its entire life in Maryland up until recently. The car had one owner until last year. The Carfax report is perfect and I can provide a copy if so desired.
