Here we have a very dependable work truck that was originally ordered for government use with heavy duty options. This is not a light duty unit. It is a 8800 GVW unit, with 13 X 2.5 inch rear brakes and a Full Floating Anti Spin axle. It has a 360 V-8. I drive it daily so the mileage may vary some. It runs great, steers straight, and has been recently aligned. There is no play or shaking in the steering. It has very comfortable seating thanks to a totaled donor truck with only 50,000 miles. I have put 15000 miles on the truck myself. It uses one quart of oil between 3000 mile changes. In other words when it is time for a change it needs one. All four tires match and are Firestone Transforce AT. They are in great shape! It also has a spare that does not match but is in good shape. I have replaced the following items.....Water PumpFuel InjectorsSpark Plugs and WiresFan Clutch and Serpentine BeltBall Joints (3)Front Brakes and CalipersFront Wheel BearingsRear axle fluid and additive Interior seating I also know that this truck was used by a Bridge Technician, (the same one since new) that traveled long distances between structures, was very fussy, and seldom got dirty. This would explain the excellent care the truck has had. The truck did have a Tommy Lift on it that they kept. That explains why the tailgate does not match. When replacing parts I do not buy the lower grade parts...Brakes are Wagner, Joints are MOOG, Belt is Gates, All injectors were replaced with a matched set.
