Vehicle Detail
Here's the scoop.. I bought this jeep in 2003. The mileage on 9/1/03 was 35,000 (as noted on the title). I took it 4 wheeling one time in 2006.. threw a rock through the bottom, the oil leaked out over the course of the next few days (I didn't realize the small hole) and the engine blew. I didn't just overhaul the engine. I bought a brand new engine (not a rebuilt one) and had a shop drop it in. It's been perfect ever since. Therefore.. the odometer does currently show just over 95,000, but that is total miles on the jeep. The current engine actually has around 30,000 (35,000 tops). I will look into getting my bank statement from that period to show as proof. In any case, to be sure and not misrepresent, the odometer does show 95,300. Actual miles on the engine are not this. Everything on this Jeep has been professionally done, down to the last minor detail. K&N Air Intake Filter, Jet Performance Chip, Borla Exhaust, 4 1/2" TeraFlex Lift with Currie Style Bumpers and Challenger Rock Bars, 33" Mudders with matching spare. It has what's now called the Sail Top soft top. It's much quieter than a standard soft top. It has Billet aluminum quick disconnects which makes taking it off SUPER easy. You'll also notice a pictue of the front undercarriage. There are small pins on each side that can be pulled and this gives each side completely independent suspension, should you want to crawl a rock or two. The standard softtop has a lot of wear. It has no cuts or holes in it. I have had it rolled back by the spare tire for most of the time I have owned the jeep, so it's showing it's age. It's also a very tight fit. I used to be able to easily slap it on by myself and I typically need my wife to help me now when I put it on. The zippered door panels did have a could small slits in them, so I just bought brand new ones. They are now in place on the doors and look and work great. The lift is 4-1/2" suspension and a 1" body lift. Gas is about 17 to 25 MPG. The reason for the big variance is the performance chip. If you drive "respectable" then it pays off in mileage. After my new engine 3 years ago, it's been babied more than ever. Before this last winter, I had it completely detailed out in the shop... and it sat in the garage the entire winter. I've tried to include a lot of close up pics for you to see. They did a great job.. even painting the most minor of areas on the undercarriage. This has been the best ride I've ever owned. Why am I selling? I'm a new Dad with 2 babies under 2. After my first kid, I still got to drive it occasionally. After this second one, I never get to take it out anymore. It literally just sits in my garage almost year round now so it simply makes no sense for me to hang on to it. EVERYTIME I drive this jeep, I get complimented on it. It has one small rip in the driver's side seat, when you open the door which would be a very small repair (the auto detailing shop did body work only so it didn't get fixed). There's a decent size scuff in the passenger dash (see picture), but overall, for a 2001, you probably won't find a better looking jeep. I'm setting the reserve very low as she just needs to go.. and trust me, I hate to say goodbye. $1000 due within 48 hours of sale. The remainder due within 7 days from there. Balance in full must be paid before pickup. I live in Springfield, Mo.
