1968 C CODE COUPE FACTORY A/C POWER STEERING I picked up this car from a friend of mine just recently as he had some financial problems and needed to sell his projects. I was hoping to keep it as it is well worth restoring, but need to focus on my current project and have no time for this one. What I know of the car: The Good: My friend purchased the car in 04 from his neighbor who is a mechanic for a well know local engine rebuild shop here in Houston. According to the mechanic the car had the original 289 engine rebuilt along with transmission. The car was never picked up by the owner who brought the car in for the rebuilds. The shop Mustang Engines Inc. dba Thunderbolt Engines and Transmission did a mechanics lien on the car and title went straight to my friend when he bought it. Since my friend bought the car he stored it and never touched it other than turning it on to let the engine run and drive it around the block. He had it inspected and bought registration for it in 07-08 because he was being harassed by neighbor hood association for having a non operable car.
