Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 since I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy it much lately. This cruiser is very original and includes the hardtop and doors. It has the original straight 6 which was rebuilt before I bought it about 8 years ago and now has 14,863 miles on it. I've had the brake system completely redone and put an electronic Fireball starter on which works great and I highly recommend to anyone considering a FJ40. I've also replaced the radiator with a new one from sor.com which is a great parts resource if you need anything. The cruiser is all original and has been garage kept for the last few years. Paint is red and original and has what I would call the right amount of character and patina chips fading etc. The cruiser has rust in the normal areas that these FJ40 do, but its limited only to those spots and the underside looks good. The shop that changes the oil always comments how clean the cruiser is when they are under it. The tub is lined and the floor was replaced on the drivers side with metal and rivets and done professionally. The interior is all original and in great condition, I've had it covered with seat covers for that last few years. I have the hard top in storage (decent condition, two tone with white on top) and haven't been using it since I keep the cruiser in the garage and we are in Texas. The hardtop has a safari rack on it too that looks awesome when its on. I have a custom made holder for the family soft top I have on it which is great because it covers the front and back seats in the sun and you can throw a kayak on top. I have the original full doors that are easy to take on and off and they are in great condition. The tires are fair and should last a good while. The cruiser get's frequent oil changes and service and runs like a champ. It always starts right up and has been very reliable. I drove this as my daily drive for about 2 years. I have truly enjoyed this cruiser over the years and hope someone will treat it right and enjoy it like I have. This is the solid cruiser you have been looking for. Thanks, Dan
