You are bidding on a very nice 1947 WDX Power Wagon. This truck originally was used by the Bishop, California Fire Department for many years. It was eventually sold sometime in the yearly 1970's to a family in Northern California where I discovered it. So this has always been a California truck. There is no rust except for a very small spot on the floor and light surface rust inside. Plus there is no signs of any body filler. The truck runs great and has what I believe is a Plymouth truck engine. The brakes need work, plus it could use a new set of tires. The sheetmetal from the cab forward is in excellent shape, but the bed could use some work. Especially the rear passenger fender which is dented. Also there is a crease in the bed on the passenger side. All of this could be easily repaired if someone has the time. The gas tank was removed and boiled, plus it has a new head gasket and fuel pump. The winch is the original one that came with the truck and still has the factory swivel on the cable (rare item). The doors have the one piece glass, but the glass itself is cracked and needs to be replaced. The seat has been reupholstered and is in great shape. There is a steel plate on the driver's door for a repair that was made years ago. Other than that it's in good shape. This truck still has the original 6 volt system with a new battery. The amp meter indicates that the battery is charging when running. Also, the Braden winch has the always missing brake handle and brake still attached. I was also able to locate the original California black plates and the hard to find rear license plate bracket. There's new wood in the bed with three coats of varnish. Also, the cow light lenses are not cracked and have no rust. The windshield frame is perfect with no rust. The windshield regulator also works great.
