Vehicle Detail
I have been hammered with phone calls so because people want to know how much I have it for sale locally, and no one has bid at this time, I have revised my auction style to "Buy it Now" and have set a reserve price. OK Mopar fans... low production year of the '68 Superbee makes this car one of the best choices for the enthusiast looking to restore a classic. This car was purchased new in Oklahoma and has the original titles/registration showing ownership up to and including me... the 3rd owner. I purchased this car through an estate auction after the death of the previous owner ... The last registration prior to mine shows 1977 (Okla brown title). When I purchased this car it was partially disassembled but still has the original 383HP, 727 Heavy Duty Transmission, and 8 3/4 rear end installed. I had full intentions of restoring this classic but I'm in my sixties and can't get to all of my projects so I have decided to let this one go to a new home... I had to gather all of the misc. parts from storage and then buy two front fenders to complete the body. I never could find the torsion bars and ended up buying a pair from "Texas Acres" Mopar parts supplier in Central Texas. Along with them, I purchased a new inner fender, shock tower, and frame rail to replace the battery acid corroded ones on the car. The original intake was misplaced... so I purchased on off of eBay (numbers correct)... I have installed the drivers side floor pan and purchased a trunk pan to go with the car. All of the interior can be seen in the pictures where the parts are in my storage building. The torsion bars are not installed at this time because the frame rail needs to be replaced... so it would have to be loaded on a two-wheel dolly or trailer manually. I will deliver this car within a few hundred miles (for $1 a mile)... basically just the cost of gasoline. The original color is unique (Bronze Metallic - MM) with white Bench Seat and Column Shift with Rallye Gauges. I do have the orignal hubcaps... All of the glass is in the car except for the rear window ( I do have) and the windshield (will need one)... All of the trim is with the car... There is a clear Oklahoma Title... The car is for sale locally, so I may end the aution early... The car need full restoration but the rockers (inner/outer) are in great shape... the driver frame rail (included) needs replaced all other are in very good condition... Trunk pan needs replaced (included)... all of the interior is in storage... I have a rebuilt 383 engine that the buyer can have the option of purchasing after the sell... for $700. The original engine will need rebuild but all of the parts look like they are there... There has never been a repaint - so no hidden issues with bondo or filler anywhere on the car... There is minor rust around the back window (but repairable)... The rear quarters are in good condition and repairable... I encourage any and all interested parties to call me for any information they believe they need before making a bid... 918 346 3593 (Jack) It is what it is..... no expressed or implied warranties... almost goes without saying. It needs restored and should be considered a project.
