This is a barn find and is on consignment with The Sell It Now Store. This car belongs to someone that can fix it up or enjoy the car the way it is. It is a good looking car but needs someone that can provide some TLC to take it to the next level. These are extremely hard to find, let alone in a convertible with a mere 1426 produced. How many are left? Most skylarks were not the Gran Sport with the 400/401 Nailhead with 435 foot lbs of torque. Please scroll below and enjoy the nearly 200 photos. Note viewing works better with Microsoft Internet Explorer. We have no history on this car and encourage all bidders to do their homework. The car runs and drives fairly well but is extremely cold blooded. It also is in need of a tune up and there is a slight exhaust leak. There is some filler in the car and as you can see, the underbody has some rust. The title does state the miles are exempt although we believe it may have turned over 100K. We are unsure through as it does have an original interior. As stated, this car runs and drives fairly well, it shows well from 10 feet but does have imperfections shown in the photos. Remember, this is a project. It appears complete or nearly complete as well. It is being sold with NO reserve. We are obligated to let the auction run its course and sell the car for the high bid. We have not tested or ran numbers on each component or extensively tested anything mechanical. However, it runs well when warm and didn’t smoke. We found the spare and jack and other small parts that are included in the auction. We have tested the lights, radio, blower motor and gauges and they appear to work. There is a seam tear in the driver’s seat and has small imperfections and bubbles in the body. The windshield is good but does have a small stone chip and wiper marks. The battery is new as well.
