I have owned this 1997 Suzuki RF900R Sportbike/Sport Touring bike for about 7 years. The bike is in very good condition, original paint and graphics, very good gloss, no fading, with the exception of minor scratches on the lower L and R side fairings from setting the bike down once in the garage, and once forgetting the kickstand, but never down at any speed. No engine side cover damage or scratches. The pictures show these fairing scratches, and a few other very minor scratches on the bike. The bike is not perfect but I can say with confidence that there are very few RF's this nice. The bike has been very well cared for with regular oil changes (Golden Spectro blended-syn), chain lube, plugs, filters, etc. The bike runs well with all maintenance up to date. I do all my own maintenance on this vehicle and everything I own. I am including the factory service manual and cover. I have always kept the bike in the garage and covered. Bike is dark green, black, and silver. The tires are near new Dunlop Sportmax's. The bike is OEM and original, except for Yoshimura muffler, 180 rear tire, dark LP windscreen, shortened rear fender, and rear turn signals installed in the rear, which improved the looks. The bike is very quick with 135 hp, 165 mph top speed, with good midrange for rideability. Very comfortable to ride all day. The engine is based on a sleeved down version of the GSXR 1100 motor and has a bullet-proof reputation. The web will have good reviews on the bike, which was built from 1994 to 1998. If you don't buy this bike, get a '97 or '98, which has improved carbs and suspension. I have a friend who has a '94 and complains about these two bugs in the older models. I'm a 53 year-old responsible engineer-type who has ridden and taken care of the bike responsibly. My wife rode the bike for a couple of years after I bought a second bike, but she has now lost interest in riding, and so we're selling it. Please ask any questions you have.
