Vehicle Detail

1952 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith Park Ward 7 passenger limousine, long wheel base chassis number ALW-5 This vehicule was built for Rolls Royce by Park Ward and delivered June, 1952. It was used as acompany car in Glasgow. The car was originally painted black. The interior has beige leather in front and fawn cloth in the rear. There are two jump seats and a bar in the rear. This car is right hand drive with a manual transmission. It has the P-100 headlights as option. I purchased the car in 2008 form a dealer in California. The car still had its original plates from UK: PLG 122. It was in very good original condition except that the paint scheme has been changed to sable grey/silver. This vehicle has always been garaged and spent most of the last thirty years in Palm Springs, CA. Over the years, the previous owner maintained and improved the mechanical condition of the car, including replacing the divider window motor, repairing the electrical system, rebuilding the brake system, and completely rebuilding the engine including new valves and springs, new block, new full lenght sleeves in cylinders, new pistons and rings, and all new bearings. In addition, they rebuilt the water pump, added a new fuel pump, and correct white wall tires. In all, I believe the car is in good condition mechanically. The exterior is in good overall condition. There is some cracking on the rear fender skirts. It has never been in an accident and has not been repainted since 1978. The interior is good in the front and the rear jump seats and carpet are good. The rear mohair bench seat is worn thin in places and could be replaced. The divider window works well. The wood is burled walnut and is in good condition on the dash and bar area. The wood on the window frames is in fair condition with some crazing. This is a beatiful and elegant vehicle that works well for private use or special occasion such as weddings. It comes with all documentation. I am moving in July and need to sell my toys (see my other add with my Buick limousine 1938). I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime for any reason and to cancel bids if not enough feedbacks. This car is not perfect by all means; it is priced accordingly. Very low reserve. I wil provide the title and bill of sale for transfer of ownership. Shipping arrangements and costs are buyer's responsability. Disclaimer : This vehicles is sold "as-is" and without warranty. I make every effort to present information that is accurate. However, it is based on data provided by the previous owner records, vehicle VIN decoding and/or other sources.
