For sale is a completely unique truck built using the body from a 1992 Import Isuzu truck. The body is on a mid to late 1980s Toyota truck frame. The drivetrain is completely Toyota. The engine is a 2LTE Toyota diesel with Turbo. All other drivetrain is stock domestic Toyota. Solid front axle (not independent front suspension). The truck was professionally assembled by Proffitts Cruisers in Delta, Colorado. It was built for me to be used as a working truck, so it is not a complete restoration as such. The body has minor dents, scratches, paint blemishes, etc. There is no rust whatsoever. The interior is stock 1992 Isuzu. Very basic. Power steering and power brakes. That is about it for options, no frills. Bench seat in front and bench in rear, so could seat up to 6. Seats have covers, they are presentable but nothing fancy. All the glass is good. The body is of a style that was never sold in domestic markets. It is a full four door crew cab and is quite unique. The bed has some minor dings in the floor. Comes with the stock headache rack. The diesel engine is extremely efficient and quiet. It gets mileage in the mid to high 30s here at elevation 7000, so would be notably better at sea level. The engine was purchased through a Japanese Importer, so I don't know how many miles are on it. It does not leak or burn any oil. The transmission is stock Toyota 5 speed and shifts smoothly.The tranfer case is stock Toyota with fully functioning low and high range and locking hubs. There is a clear Colorado Title. Because the truck was assembled, it was inspected by the State DOT and issued an Assigned VIN #. This is what would be done for a kit car etc. The correct VIN # is ID46449COLO. It has clear, marketable title as a 1992 Isuzu PU. The truck is reliable and efficient. Here at elevation, it is not a fast truck. I imagine things can be done to boost performance for those with a mind to do so. I have used it locally and have found it to be sufficient in power. On the open highway for long road trips, more power would be nice. This is a one of a kind truck that catches eyes everywhere. The little diesel just purrs.
