Vehicle Detail
Thanks for your interest in my bike. Look closely at the pics----the condition of this bike is amazing! It starts with ease, runs well with no smoke, idles, and guess what... NO CARB ISSUES!. As with most vintage bikes, it is cold natured and takes a minute to get up to temperature but nothing to be concerned about. I have restored and sold many vintage bikes (100% feedback) and out of all of them, this is my favorite to date. The carburetors didn't have to come off 20 times to get it to run correctly. It ran correctly from the git-go, however, I did remove the carb bowls out of curiosity, only to find very little sediment and no coral deposits. It shifts through all six speeds flawlessly. It brakes well with no sticking or dragging or leaking calipers. The inside of the tank looks pretty good with no visible rust. Now, the outside of the tank is the original paint with NO fade, No scratches, No dents. It is nearly perfect with only minor scuffs on the top and three tiny little specs on the right side--- not noticeable at all. Both side covers are original and perfect. The seat is original and perfect. Look at the head pipes and mufflers, like I said, "amazing"! I put brand new tires on the bike and the battery works wonderfully. The charging system works great and all electronics work without a problem. Unlike most vintage bikes, the tach even works! Only 18K miles. The chain and sprockets look great, sprocket still has flat spots at the end of the teeth and the chain fits snugly all the way around it. I have disclosed all I can think of about the bike. If I missed something, feel free to write or call me ( I live in the Eastern time zone) and I will share the details of the bike with you. Soon I will have more bikes, not as mint as this one, but, close. A 75 GT550, 70 SL100, a couple Honda 350 street and scramblers, even a Silverwing. All of my bikes come with titles that will be notarized into your name before you leave the premises. And while on that subject; I make frequent trips to Ashland Kentucky, Buckhannon West Virginia, and Akron Ohio so if the winner is patient, I may be able to really help out with pick-up. Again, this is something best discusses personally: Bernie 740 551 9929. This bike will be featured in my neighborhoods yard sale this coming weekend. I therefore reserve the right to end the auction early, however, I will NOT end the auction early within the last 24 remaining hours unless someone uses "buy it now". My reserve is lower than I have seen some of these bikes sell for that weren't as nice as this one. On May-07-10 at 09:48:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention; if you have 0 feedbacks-- don't bid or the bid will be canceled
