This vehicle has had a loving home and has been well cared for. It has been our personal car and is a pleasure to drive anywhere. It is loaded with AC, heated seats, AM FM CD, memory seats, and more, and the premium convertible top with the one button up and down as you can see in the video. Equipped with the $800 sport package, which includes M double-spoke alloy wheels, performance tires and a sport suspension, in 2001, BMW increased the HP from 193 to 225 horsepower and 206 to 214 foot-pounds of torque. The automatic convertible top is also a great option. The seats are comfortable and to offer plenty of support, with 12-way power adjustments to achieve the perfect driving position Mechanically, it has a brand new Sears Diehard International installed last month. As we noted, it runs and drives superbly. The doors and windows work perfectly as does the AC and radio/CD. No check engine lights are present, but for people that know these cars, there are three minor issues with the car as with many of these. First, the windshield washer reservour leaks when filling it up all the way. We have always ran it not topped off for that reason. We also notice that the oil fill light (not the oil pressure light) at times may come on very intermittently. We were told that unless it happens when the car is at the dealer, there is nothing they can do and it is probably a sensor. We have never worried about it and as stated, the oil pressure is fine, it is strictly the oil level light. Last, we have experienced the car once in a great while will stall, then start right up. If you read the blogs, this is a common problem and it can go weeks without doing this. The good news is that it has never left us stranded and has been a GREAT car. It may be the most fun I have ever had with a car. Why are we selling? too many vehicles and we do not use it. Note the body does have some minor swirl marks as it is black. The interior trim and bolsters do show some minor wear, and it looks like the car has scraped a parking curb once or twice as noted in the photos. The body is very straight and Carfax shows it to be damage free. Also note that we have not tested each component or extensively tested anything mechanical. You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected at your expense and can recommend a number of local BMW experts.The reserve is a VERY MODEST $12,500. We accept verifiable certified bank checks or bank wire transfers only. All funds must clear before vehicle is picked up by high bidder or their agent.
