1949 Ford F-5, 1.5 ton, Flatbed/Dump This truck has less than 200 miles on an extensive two year frame off restoration. Truck was built to be simple, dependable and functional with some updates for work and/or show. The engine is a 1967 352, V-8, rebuilt to stock specs. The transmission is a NP 435, 4 speed, also rebuilt with a hydraulic clutch. New hoses, filters, ignition parts, voltage regulator, water pump, fuel pump, dual exhaust with quiet mufflers, clutch master & slave cylinders. Rebuilt alternator, starter, and carb. Front end has new king pins, tie rod ends & rebuilt drag link. Truck has been updated with power brakes, new dual master cylinder, all wheel cylinders, shoes, lines, hoses, & wheel seals. Front springs, rear springs and rear axle were donated from a later model Ford LN600. Rear axle is a Rockwell model F106. The front tires are 9.00/20 Hercules Hi-way at 75% tread, rears are Firestone Super Traction at 95% tread, no caps. Front wheels are later model outer lock-ring style, not the original Firestone RH-5* 2-piece split wheels. Has 40 gal. fuel tank/step on left side (no tank behind the seat) and battery/toolbox/step on right side. The cab floor has been completely rebuilt with 2x4 & 2x2 (.120 wall) steel tubing using a four point, urethane mount setup. Instead of the stock dogbone rear & four front mounts. The inside and underside of the cab floor have been coated with SEM Pro-tex bedliner. New locks have been installed in both doors, so you don't have to jump through the passenger side like the original (don't know what they were thinking back then?). Truck has a one piece fiberglass tilt nose for easy maintenance and cleaning, no need to climb on the fenders. Also has easily removable inner splash shields (not shown in photos) to keep engine clean while on the road, nice & quick to remove (no bolts) once at a show to give everyone something to look at. The body has been painted Dupont Centari GM Victory Red, code 74. The interior has black/grey cloth bucket seats. The following parts are new, black reproduction headliner & kick panels, black carpet, left & right visors, windshield & side windows, all weather strips, complete wiring (12 volt, with breakers), all switches, gauge senders, lights, lighter, heater core & blower motor. Stock gauges have been converted to 12v. and all work, as does the speedometer. Has directionals & backup lights. Original vacuum wipers with new stainless arms & blades, work great. The mirrors are stainless full size west coast style. Flatbed/dump body is steel diamond plate, 8' wide x 9' long, with stake pockets on all sides. The racks are 24" tall. The hoist is a pto powered Gar Wood hydraulic setup, power up & down, with new hoses, pto shaft & joints, dump works excellent. For what it's worth, the title says actual mileage. It is unknown if mileage is original or not, or if it even matters in a 60-plus year old truck that has been restored, modified, and updated throughout it's lifetime. The odometer works is all I can say. The truck runs and drives great, everything works as it should. Ready to use for work, great advertisement, or use for show, look even better with your restored tractor on the bed. Lots of time & money invested, need to make room for other projects. There is no warranty or delivery available. Truck is as is, where is. A Paypal deposit of $1000.00 is due within 48 hours from end of auction, with balance due within 7 days from end of auction.
