Vehicle Detail
Triumph TR 250 Not many of these around anymore, and this one is in very nice condition, a great place to start a resto project on a highly valued car. Starts right up, runs great, plenty of power, idles at about 900 rpm. Wire wheels nice and tight, no shimmies or shakes. Pretty much all the original equipment is there and working. Turn signal swith is out and wipers don't work, have not investigated as to why. Needs a horn relay. Frame is straight, solid, rust free, although one of the upper diff mounts may need repaired (hear a little "clunk" on accelleration, although it could be something else). Body is in pretty good condition, although there is some fiberglass along floor board edges and trunk edge, and putty in the rocker panels. Inner body is in very good condition. Interior is nearly complete, original, and not in bad condition, although dash pad, top, seat upholstery will need replaced. Tonneau has small hole, boot needs some snap work and re-sewing along part of one edge. Front and rear bumpers should be replaced, have some dings/dents. Carpet set is not in bad shape, could be used "as is". Seat foams and tracks in cood condition. Battery, fuel filter, and fan belt are new (real pain in the a-- to change the fan belt, isn't it?). Just spent some more time under it taking pics for an interested buyer. Inner rockers will need to be re-worked for show quality, someone has put in a non OEM panels for inner and outer rockers. Frame is very solid, "clunking" noise is actually the aluminum extension piece on the differential at the back. One of the thru holes in the extension casting is partially broken, allowing slight movement of diff on acceleration. Should be an easy fix. Trunk has some rust that was repaired towards the gas tank. Hood has cracks in side flanges at back where they always appear, and needs rewelded at front where hood subframe ties in to the hood skin. Swing arm mounts and cross brace on frame are solid on both sides, very solid frame. I am trying to show/tell all, call w/ any questions 610 334 8782 or email gregsterling0000@aol.com. Oil pressure was over 50 at 900 psi after about 10 minutes, engine really runs great, trans/clutch shift smooth. Some "poison ivy" on some of the side marker/tail light chrome, not too bad, but not show quality. Lots of pics, should give you a pretty good idea of what is being offered. Email with any questions, include your contact number if you want me to call. Buyer responsible for shipping/pick up.
