Vehicle Detail
This is a no reserve auction: This is a 2005 Triumph Daytona 955i. The bike has been garage kept and adult ridden since the dealership. She is in great shape and has been used as a daily driver, never raced, never laid down, never dropped in the garage, driveway or any other tricky way people try to act like a bike has not spent time on its side. There are no scratches other than the standard light surface marks from actually riding the bike. She was recently serviced at Pete's Cycle in Baltimore (because they really know what they are doing, if you are local, I recommend them). This is a great bike with plenty of torque and power, but is still very rider friendly and manageable at street speeds. There are a few extras that will allow you to take the bike and immediately start riding her wherever/however you want. She currently has fully adjustable "Convertibars." They list for about $350. These are great because they allow you to put the bars wherever you want them, at whatever angle it most comfortable. I have them set a little high right now, because I have been commuting on the bike during the early spring. Also included are the original factory clip-ons. http://www.convertibars.com/ProductsBike.cfm?Action=Add&ProductID=&rebuildStruct=1&CategoryID=-1&BikeYear=2005&MakeID=77&ModelID=174&btnSubmit=+Next+Step!+ She is also fitted with a Leo Vince slip on model 7048, which sells for about $430. Triumphs have a natural three cylinder growl, but this pipe just makes it better. The bike is not so loud it will make up the neighbors, but if you push her a little she will get you plenty of compliments on how she sounds. If you have never heard a triple, it is much deeper than a standard 4 cylinder whine. The pipe is Carbon Fiber wrapped and stays completely cool even at running temps (better combustion and no leg burns for you or a passenger). ****(Added detail) I forgot to mention it also has the integrated rear tailight with the LED blinkers and brake lights. Makes the bike much cleaner looking. Also has the semi flush mounted LED front blinkers as well. Installed on the bike are the Triumph factory carbon fiber inserts. They really made the bike look better than the original dull plastic inserts. These pieces were not cheap, but they are worth it. A triumph carbon fiber tank guard is also installed. The pictures show the bike with the rear cowl on and the passenger footpegs are removed. Both the seat and the pegs are simple and quick to change out. The bike will come with the Haynes manual. Even if you don't plan on doing your own service, it is a great reference for understanding the bike. I will also include a barely used motorcycle cover by Nelson Rigg (www.nelsonrigg.com) which comes in a travel bag. Also a spare oil filter for your first oil change. I hate to see this bike go, but I am about to have my third kiddo and I am thinking I will need the money. I am an active duty Naval Flight Officer, and I am not trying to sell a lemon. I have had made some questionable car purchases on ebay, and I hate to see people soured by bad sales. This is the real deal. I am starting the bike at what I need out of it, not counting the bars, exhaust, carbon fiber inserts or supplies.
