Vehicle Detail

Firstly, the model of this car is unclear, 48 MG-TC is handwritten on a tag on the keychain. If you know this is not correct, please notify me & I will change the description. This car is going to be junked at the conclusion of this auction, it is abandoned and I do not have the registration, this auction is for parts only. If you are a vehicle dismantler ot itinerant collector and wish to take this vehicle at the conclusion of the auction and are willing to leave a filled in copy with me of New York State form MV-37 (of which the buyer is suppose to send to NYS, I just want it for my own records) which can be looked at here: http://www.nysdmv.com/forms.htm ,you can contact me for information. What I know about the car is only what I can see, nothing more except that about 6 years or so ago, I did hear the engine run and the car move and is has not been touched since, this is not a guarantee. What I can see is that the body is in very good condition considering the age, I do think it is original parts, once again, not a guarantee. The interior red panels I suspect are not original, who knows. The windsheild is cracked, and of course the leather top has certainly shown its age, it does move up and down though. Other than what I can see, like the engine & transmission, I have not a clue if it is origninal or not. On May-01-10 at 10:24:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Firstly again, information from bidders say "From some items mounted on the car, it would appear that you have a 1949 MG TC Export. 7 inch headlamps, badge bar does not have mounting points for horn, front and rear bumper brackets." and " Looks like a 1949 EXU (US Export) version of the TC with a later MG TD/TF engine. The horns on the firewall were part of the EXU setup, and the engine tag showing on the front right indicates a TD or TF engine". Secondly and most important (for any bid beyond #19, which is the current bid) this is the NEW description: THIS AUCTION IS FOR PARTS OFF THIS CAR, MEANING THE WINNER COMES AND TAKES WHAT HE NEEDS, then I am willing to give the car away for FREE to a vehicle dismantler or a itinerant collector who will leave a copy of the NYS form with me. That being said, the winner of this auction will have the first opportunity to send a vehicle dismantler or itinerant collector he or she knows and take the car. Note: If bid #19 wins this auction, he or she will have the opportunity to decline. Now, here are answers to most of many questions I have received: 1. I really do not want to clear out the garage again & take more pictures, BUT I do have 4 or 5 pictures of the right side of the engine that did not get uploaded to Ebay. You can email me and I will send them to you. 2. I do not have the title\registration, and cannot get it, the vehicle is abandoned and will be treated as such, so I cannot supply a bill of sale or ANY OTHER DOCUMENT to the winner. 3. I can help roll the car out of the garage and onto the driveway, from that point on, it is the winners responsibility. 4. For my Brit and other European friends, yes you can bid but you will have to have someone come and get the parts and/or leave a copy of the form mentioned above if that is the case, once the car parts leave my property, it is out of my hands. 5. There is no 'buy it now' , it is an auction.
