1977 AMC HORNET AMX Completely restored since I bought it 10 years ago. Rebuilt 304 with approximately 5000 miles on it. Newly rebuilt 904 automatic transmission and converter. All Flares in excellent shape and targa redone last year with new old stock medallions. New old stock hornet hood ornament. NO RUST anywhere on car. Car has been in Alabama and southern Tennessee its whole life. Original AM/FM radio repaired (AM/FM CD player w/remote mounted under front seat is hooked up currently), new carpet, new side panels, new window trim, new rear springs, new front shocks and brakes work great. Other new items include: u-joints, driveshaft, alternator, gaskets, A/C compressor and clutch, intake, carburator (new Holley), dual flow-master exhaust, power steering pump, all hoses, K&N air cleaner, MSD distributor, wires, rear-end bearings, rear-end oil, front windshield, under-coating underneath . Even had clock redone with Quartz technology. Interior is in excellent shape and would take thousands of dollars to restore a car to this condition. Have spent endless hours on this car. Car was painted in 2001 with 1981 GM Corvette Blue. Tires are in great shape with Centerline rims. Always garage kept and never driven in bad weather. Many awards won including AMO silver before all work was even complete. Car has not been driven much lately. Moving and have no room for it. Prefer car to be picked up in Fayetteville, TN or can arrange to meet within 100 miles. The previous owner replaced the dash years ago and threw out the VIN plate with it. I have replaced the dash, but do not have correct VIN plate. I have removed the steering gear box and the numbers are there and match the clear title. Drove from Tennessee to Kenosha, WI (over 1200 miles) and back in 2007 with AC on the entire trip and ran great. Sale is final upon completion of the auction, so ask all questions prior to bidding.
