1984 MERCEDES BENZ 300SD LOW MILES TURBODIESEL LUXURY SEDAN RUNS ON VEGETABLE OIL This car will run on Straight Vegetable Oil, Waste Vegetable Oil, Biodiesel, Diesel, or a combination of any of the fuels. The single tank conversions are the easiest and most efficient way to run vegetable oil in your vehicle. If you are environmentally conscious, this is the vehicle for you. This car has a neutral carbon footprint. If you are trying to save money on fuel, this is the vehicle for you. This vehicle will pay for itself in fuel savings alone if you use WVO. If you are tired of our dependence on foreign oil imports, this vehicle is for you. This car can be run on pure vegetable oil that is domestically grown and produced. This sedan is clean inside and out and they are becoming harder and harder to find in this condition. It is a turbodiesel with an engine life expectancy of 500,000 miles before a rebuild. With only 174K on the odometer this car has years of motoring ahead. This automobile is considered the crowning achievement of Mercedes Benz and one of the worlds best sedans. The car was just inspected by the diesel mechanic at our local MB dealership, who fixed a few things that needed attention. He is probably one of the best MB diesel mechanics in Southern California and he’s been a service technician for MB for 30 years. He knows these diesels inside and out and still owns two of them himself. He went through the car and checked all systems and fixed what needed attention. Description : Black exterior, MB paint code 040 with Grey MB Tex interior. 5-Cylinder, 3.0 liter, single overhead cam, turbo charged diesel, 4-speed automatic transmission, power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes, automatic sunroof, A/C and heat climate control, power windows, central locking, power steering, cruise control, Becker AM/FM Cassette Player, electrically heated rear windshield and rear wiper, quartz chronometer, tachometer, power front bucket seats, alloy wheels, front center folding arm rest, zebrano wood dash trim and console, combed wool carpet, 2-speed windshield wiper with 5-second mist interval control, parcel nets. Exterior Condition: The paint is original and the paint is in good condition with some minor imperfections but the overall impression is very nice. There are some small door dings, dents, scratches and touch up area that are to be expected on a car this age. That being said, as you can see from the pictures the paint still looks great. The exterior rubber and chrome are all in excellent condition. All the glass is in great shape and the emblems are shiny and in excellent condition. The front grill is in excellent shape. All trim is in place and in excellent condition. Interior Condition: The Mb is in excellent condition. The seats are comfortable and firm. The dash cover is in excellent shape with no cracks. The headliner is perfect and the carpet is in good condition. The door panels are in very nice shape. The instrument panel and center console are in very good condition with the exception of a small crack in the wood near the headlamp switch and a small crack near the glove box. Both are barely noticeable. Mechanical Condition: Mechanically this car is very sound. The transmission shifts smooth in all gears. The engine in this car performs beautifully with nice power and torque. There are no leaks in the exhaust and it is smooth running at all speeds. The alignment is true with no pulling during braking with no excess play in the steering wheel. The brakes are strong. The tires have about 80% tread life remaining. This car has many years of trouble free motoring to come. The odometer reads 174,814 original miles, and the comfort level and condition of the car are indications of the low miles. This car is very comfortable and the SD luxury tag really shows in this one. I would feel confident in this vehicle on a long road trip in its excellent condition. Vegetable Oil Conversion: The conversion is based on a 2 micron filter/water separator that has a top loaded 150 watt heating element that automatically turns on when temperatures fall below 60F and turns off when the oil reaches 85F. This insures that the veg oil will flow through your filter no matter how cold it gets outside. The final heat stage comes from injector line heaters that get the fuel nice and hot quickly. These heaters will get the fuel to 170F within 3 minutes and if you turn them on before you start the car you will be insuring that hot oil is reaching the injectors right away. This will insure easy starts, even on cold mornings and also insure proper and complete burning of the oil which is critical for the health of your engine. This is considered a temperate climate single tank conversion designed for Southern California. It can be modified to work in any climactic conditions, so please ask any questions you have before bidding. Accessories Condition: All electronics are functioning in the vehicle, with the exception of the tach and the clock. The passenger side power mirror functions properly as well as both front power seats. The sunroof functions properly and is smooth and strong as well as all power windows. The radio and automatic antenna function and the climate control works on the vehicle. The AC has a leak in the system and would need repair before it is recharged. I can have this repaired for you if you’d like before the car is picked up. Lights all work well, along with turn signals, head lights, high beams, fog lights, brake lights, parking lights, reverse lights, license plate lights, etc. Please bid with complete confidence on this vehicle, it is in very good overall condition and I have 100% positive feedback on ebay.
