Vehicle Detail
Pictured is a 1968 Pontiac Firebird V-8 convertible.I was told this car was originally a 400 4-speed car,but i have no way of knowing without PHS paperwork. It is for sure a original V-8 car and i do believe it was built at the factory with a standard shift on the floor. The clutch pedal is still there and the standard shift hole and shift boot retaining ring are also there. The original engine and transmission are long gone and someone installed a chevy 6-cylinder engine and automatic trans in their place. The original hood and front bumper were replaced with a hood and bumper from another Firebird at one time and the car was color changed to blue. This Firebird was built at the Lordstown,Ohio plant and the original color was code Y-2 Mayfair Maize "Light Yellow".The color of the convertible top and interior is code 253 Black which they still are today.Other than this car possibly being a 400 4-speed car,the only other options i see are a power convertible top and the factory sport woodgrain steering wheel. As you can see in the pictures, this Firebird is going to need a complete restoration.Just about all of the sheet metal will need to be replaced. The floors, trunk floor, and rear frame rails are bad and will also need to be replaced. There is no radiator support or front lower valance. All of these parts are available new from restoration companies such as Year-One,Ames Performance, etc. All of the glass is intact except for the convertible top rear window. This car is going to take a lot of work, but it is a V-8 Convertible with a nice color combination. There are no keys or title to the car, therefore the buyer will receive a bill of sale from me.There are plenty of title companies out there if the buyer needs a title. This vehicle is being sold for parts or restoration only and there is no warranty or guarantee of any kind.It will need to be towed by flatbed or trailer and it does roll easily so loading will not be a problem.A three hundred dollar non refundable deposit is due five days after the auction ends by u.s.postal money order. The car must be picked up and paid for in full within fourteen days after the auction ends.If the buyer needs more time to pick the car up,i need to know as soon as possible.Anyone with bad feedback or less than twenty feedbacks needs to contact me before bidding or your bid will be canceled. Please do not bid if you have no intention of following through and paying.Your bid is a legal and binding contract. Please feel free to ask any questions.
